Yes, you should watch Naruto if you liked Shippuden, since Shippuden continues the plot from the first anime and without the first anime you probably won't understand a lot of things. Quote

Zebhra Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Personaly, i like the original Naruto series more than Shippuden and i still sometimes watch Team7 vs Zabuza (their first encounter was badass) and some of the fragments of chuunin arc. So yeah, go ahead and watch it, just be sure to skip all the fillers. Quote

If you really like Naruto then it's worth watching the original series I guess. If you really hate filler the avoid it like the plague. If you REALLY REALLY like Naruto then you might actually enjoy the filler. Quote

If you want to skip pointless filler and just get on with the story, Check this site for filler episodes to skip: http://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/naruto Came in handy for me when I first started watching Naruto.
