Skyleft Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 So, i watched the little busters anime around a year ago, and I really enjoyed it. I've heard lots of times that the VN is much better, so I'd like to play it, but I have a few questions. Simply, the anime has 2 seasons called diferently, so, are there 2 VN, or only one? Is there more than 1 version?, or should I know something before playing them? Quote
Eclipsed Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Hiii ^o^/ VN Little Busters contains common route, heroine routes, and Refrain route 1st season anime covers common route + heroine routes, 2nd season anime covers Refrain ~~ VN also has an EX version which covers three more heroines (not completed english translation yet however), and there is a 3rd anime covering that. MFrost Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Technically, Yuiko's route was included in the first few episodes of LB: Refrain. While I watched the anime first and then read through the VN, I liked it better that way as I was able to skip over route's that I just couldn't stand. The characters appearances look better in the anime than in the VN imo too...Key's VNs are just so weird looking. I'd say wait until LB EX/ME is finished translating so you can get the full experience, but it's been so long since anything's progressed, idk if that's still a good idea or not. Better question for the Topic starter, who's your favorite girl? A-Chan can not be chosen unfortunately. Quote
mjriedstra Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I personally thought Little Busters was enjoyable. By KEY standards it's certainly not the best, and I found the gameplay element pretty pointless, but overall I don't regret playing it by any means. As with all KEY games, most of the characters are very likable. The game sacrificed a lot of its dramatic potential for the sake of achieving a certain type of ending, but that doesn't invalidate the individual routes or it being a fun slice-of-life with good production values. If you like KEY's style of storytelling, it's worth playing. Quote
