StrawberryRollerskates Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Hi, there. I looked through the support threads and didn't see anything about this, so I figured I'd ask. I got the English version apk for Onscripter for my Android tablet and as it said to put the installation as it was on the computer onto the SD card. On my computer it's got the voices and Umitweak and English patches. Very nice, but not easy to take with me places to read. It loaded just fine in Japanese, and I figured it was using the original arc files so I tried copying it with the patches as the arc files in the directory where it had the Japanese files. It started up okay, but then crashes out of the novel when the voices start. I'm thinking I did something a bit funky, but I can't think of what that might be right at the moment. Wondering if anybody else maybe has made a similar error in bringing Umineko onto their Android device and figured it or may see what I overlooked? I looked around a bit online and couldn't find anywhere that seemed a bit more appropriate or welcoming to ask about something like this. (That and I've been following the site for a decent amount of time, so signing up to talk about VNs seems logical enough for other reasons too.) Thanks in advance! Quote
Guest Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 hey i dont own an android (i do but it's my mums), ill tell sakamoto cause he might have encountered similar problem Quote
Sakamoto Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Okay I've tried Umitweak on English Onscripter and it force exits the app. Very likely the reason is that it only supports images that are 4:3. Umitweak's aspect ratio is 16:9, and that may be the cause of the problem. If you really want Umitweak on your Android device still, there's the option of using VNDS instead. http://digital-haze.net/ch/vnds/kareha.pl/1239593737/l50 Scroll down to message 309. Quote
