Kamidori Alchemy Meister - Tried Everything But Still Freezes

First things first: I've downloaded it by torrent. The fuwanovel version (no installation required).

I've changed the system locale to Japanese (it was brazillian portuguese, before that).

My config: Intel core i3 3240, 4gb RAM, Geforce GTS250 (1gb). Windows 7 SP1

 

I've inspected nearly everything about errors on this game. Downloaded codec's, changed Lav Splitter settings, changed in-game fonts, changed game directory to a root one (C:), but still...

Every time I step into effect itens or battle the game enters in a non-response state (with freezed screen). It comes back after 2min but mouse button or keyboard keys don't work. I can close it by clicking on the "X", wich gives me the option to retorn to the main title. After that, I'm able to click again in the menu and even load my saved game. Then again, I won't be able to step on effects or play battles.

So, should I buy a whole new PC?

Ps: English is not my native language and it's been a while since I needed it for writing purposes.
