I don't know why there is no 1 and 5 dollars tiers, even if it's a little it does help. All campaigns so far had one but this one doesn't seems weird :/ Do what you can...even if it's to help spread the word. Every little bit is appreciated and really does go a long way. I believe we are in discussions to hopefully get some lower-level tiers. Fingers crossed. Quote

Is it SP or the developers? Why not get more interaction between the devs and fans, like an AMA or some videos from them. That's why I think Mikandi did such a great job. VirginSmasher 1 Quote

Mikandi stood out because of them doing this and that is a factor in why Libra got funded and reached those stretch goals. Quote
Suzu Fanatic Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I might still back it, as I really want to see RD in english - no point damning a good-looking VN just because the publisher or dev make poor unpopular decisions. That being said - maybe I just never paid attention before, but my credit card has a ridiculous conversion rate/fee when it comes to crowdfunding (nothing else, only places like Kickstarter, etc). My Libra pledge had a staggering conversion rate attached to it....needless to say I paid a lot more then I anticipated I would... It's kinda turned me off of crowdfunding tbh - I get the feeling card companies (or at least mine) have found a loophole when it comes to crowdfunding transactions - because I don't deal with such crazy charges with Steam or sub sites~ Quote
LightBladeNova Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I hope the discussions aren't just for lower-level tiers though... cuz I don't think they'll help much at this point, especially given the lack of advertisement/marketing. What's more important imo, if we're unable to get much more major press, is to further improve the tiers between $150 and $275 and perhaps create a few (reasonable) higher tiers between $275 and $1000 to give people more incentive to raise their pledges. Because right now, there aren't many backers above the $99 tier, and a great portion of Kickstarter funding comes from the higher tiers. High-tier backers may be able and willing to pledge above $275 but not $1000, so something in between might help. I think the $30-$99 tiers are fine because towards the end, if push comes to shove, I imagine many of the $30/$45 backers will move up to $60/$75 (the physical copy and the desire to see RD funded may be good enough incentives to push people), and the $60/$75 backers may move up to $75/$99. But of course, I don't have much experience with Kickstarter or this kind of financial management in general so I could just be talking a lot of ignorant crap... if so, my apologies. Tiers really come down to what we have available to work with. What I am seeing a lot of folks greatly overlook is that not ever developer is going to agree to or want to appear on camera, etc. Some are a little more loose while others do not wish to be right in the middle of a spotlighted stage. Not just saying that in terms of RD, but for any project. No two are going to be the same. In this instance where people are comparing the RD campaign to Libra, Muv-Luv, etc. it's sorta' the opposite of the old saying: what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Thanks for all of the questions though, everyone. I have to get back to email pitching, but I'll likely check back in tomorrow. Have a splendid evening. EDIT: I don't know if everyone has caught that we are offering new items for some of the preexisting tiers (just can't go back and edit the text desc. once someone is backing that tier). Do you have any plans to try and further improve the higher tiers ($99 and higher)? Because like I said in my previous post, there aren't enough backers in those higher tiers, and a highly significant amount of funding comes from them. Quote

What they have right now is probably all that's available. As far as pre-existing merchandise goes, you have the items already on there, and then maybe some telephone cards, which aren't really marketable over here. If there were tapestries and stuff available I doubt they'd be putting mugs on there. Suzu Fanatic 1 Quote

WinterfuryZX Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Oh, sorry, 440-450 usd not 500, I forgot to subtract the cost of the phys game. Retail kit for reSellers, 10 phys games for 400 usd? I saw this Done in some KS... But I don't think that's really viable in VG KSs. Quote

Estimated delivery date is March 2016. The stretch goals are just for a fanbook and drama CDs. Interestingly, apparently Sekai Project is getting none of this money, according to the funding breakdown? All of the funds are going to Regista, Yeti, and Lemnisca. Maybe this will convince some of the SP haters to chip in? They do this on purpose to make it look like that. They do not get any of the kickstarter funds, BUT they DO get paid by the developers to start a kickstarter, and then probably get paid again if it's successful. At least it's something similar to what I said, obviously they don't work for nothing. Quote

Don't know if we'd be able to do the reseller kit thing though. I have a feeling that would go over like a fart in church (EDIT: in terms of us trying to get the approval for it). ;P Dergonu 1 Quote

Well, unfortunately it looks like the Uchikoshi promotion effect is wearing off... yesterday only accumulated like $2500 compared to the ~$4000 of the two days before that... and it'll probably continue to decrease unless we get some more major press and/or Vita/tier updates. Funyarinpa Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 $150-175 need extra rewards, $200 tier is surpassing both of them even though 150-175 is usually a pretty sweet spot for backers. Oh well, not much to do at this point. 2/3 of the way through (almost) and not even halfway. Quote

Maybe the game being on steam now will cause another spike. They have been continuously pushing out different promotions since it started so hopefully they have a few more tricks up their sleeve. Too early to give up! I plan on upping my pledge when I get my paycheck. Can´t exactly push it up in the thousands on my own though (Unless I win the lottery. ) DavidB and LightBladeNova 2 Quote

If all the current $30 backers were to move up to $60, that'd be almost $15,000 right there. C'mon $30 backers~ get that physical copy Quote
