Guest Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I was wondering if anyone knows anything about how to improve SEO for the fuwan site? Vax has been too busy, so it's been put on hold for about 6 months, so I thought I'd try my chances at finding someone on the forums... the site was developed using Code Igniter http://ellislab.com/codeigniter any help would be greatly appreciated! REtransInternational Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Improve in what way? The site looks alright as it is (even the JS-only parts seem to have been removed, so they should be no issue) and the consequences of getting delisted by e.g. Google for going too far with SEO are going to be worse. Guest Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 well im not afraid of getting delisted, we dont even have close to the kind of traffic for google to care, i got some tips from feal87: - Invert the title for each specific page like this "Steins;Gate-FuwaNovel".Words at the beginning have more weight in rankings. - Make sure the non-www version of the site redirect with a 301 to the www version to avoid duplicate content warnings. - Parallelize the content between multiple hostnames in order to improve load speed that affects rankings. REtransInternational Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Those types of changes won't be harmful. Something like Spamdexing will be, so my advice is to not go down that route. Except: Parallelize the content between multiple hostnames in order to improve load speed that affects rankings. Unless you have actual multiple servers and the pages are really really large (in which case maybe they need to be shrunk), that won't improve load speeds. Quote
