koyomi Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Hi everybody. I'm trying to install Ikusa Megami Zero, but it refuses to work for me. The game freezes right after the launch and that's it. I tried to reinstall it, tried to change game's settings but nothing works for me. If someone had a similar issue before or knows how to fix it plese help. Quote
ChaosRaven Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Did you install all necessary patches? It's especially important if you use the English interface patches. What OS are you using? You're using Japanese locale, do you?! Quote
koyomi Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 I've installed one patch, but maybe there's more of them? And I'm not using English interface patches. My OS is 8.1 and yes I'm using Japanese locale right now. Quote
ChaosRaven Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 There's the append disc which brings the game on version 2.00 and a follow up patch to 2.01. The English interface patch requires 2.01. I had it working on my old Win7 PC, but didn't try it yet on my new Win10 PC. But you can try starting it with compatibility mode for Win7 or XP. I have to do that for some programs on Windows 10 because they crash otherwise. Quote
Entes Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Hey, I'm having the same issue. I tried the compatibility modes for Windows 7 and XP but the game is still unresponsive on start. Any ideas? Quote
sanahtlig Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Eushully games have to be installed with both non-Unicode and region format set to Japanese. If you didn't do that you'll have to reinstall the game. Quote
