Danganronpa PC Controls Help

Hey. I realize this is kind of a dumb thing to ask, but... Just installed Danganronpa for PC.  How do you return to the main menu mid game? and any way to save mid game as well?

If you just started playing, I think you have to wait until you get your e-handbook. Then you will be able to save, check the text backlogs, student profiles, etc.

so you absolutely need a windows 7 OS to run this vn?

Hopefully not. Danganronpa lists W7 as both the minimum and recommended system requirements, but eh, other VNs like Nekopara only list minimum: Windows Vista and we all know it works on 7/8 etc.
