This is a torrent of Visual Novels that I have gotten to work on my Android-based tablet. It includes titles such as Fate/Stay Night, Higurashi, Umineko, Saya no Uta, Tsukihime, and many others, including indie releases and even some Otome Games (You know. For the ladies).

Each game has a separate rar or zip file (Except the few APK files floating around on top) so you can pick and chose which of the games you'd like to download.

For the games using VNDS Interpreter, just create a folder named "VNDS" on your device, copy the compressed files into that folder and extract them in the "VNDS" folder. Then, Install the VNDS Interpreter app and point it at the games.

For The Ren'Py based games, it's much the same process, but you should make a different folder called "renpy" and place the games there instead.

Tutorial Installation

1. Download and Install apk and VNDS converter into your android phone
2. Download and pick one game you want to play ex : Fate/Stay Night
3. After you download it extract and open your VNDS conyerter
4. Set your setting you like in VNDS converter
5. Wait until it say finish
6. After that copy folder _generated in converter output folder to your android directory /sdcard/vnds/novels
7. Rename folder _generated ex: _generated to fate stay night (not required)
8. And voila you can play your visual novel on androids

Advantages on this way:
the possibility of fewer bugs
you can change your VN setting anytime you like

Minus using this way :
Must have a copy visual novel in your PC

The Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine is a free software engine which facilitates the creation of visual novels, a form of computer-mediated storytelling. Tutorial how to play visual novel using Ren'Py engine on your android phone

What you need :

1. A Ren’Py game (let’s call it TEST for this tutorial)
2. unrpa
3. Python 2.7
4. Ren'Py for Android

How to install:
1 – Using Python 2.7 and unrpa, extract data.rpa from TEST’s “game” folder. the links given on how to do so. It may be named something else at times but just remember to extract the content from the .rpa file.
2 – Insert the extracted content back into the “game” folder, and delete the .rpa file from that folder.
3 – Install Ren’Py for Android on your preferred Android device of choice.
4 – There will be a “renpy” folder on your Android device, in the “sdcard” root folder. Transfer your “game” folder into the renpy folder so it looks like “renpy/TEST/game”.
5 – In the “TEST” folder, create a “android.txt” file. Then enter these details:

author=
api=61200
orientation=landscape
Enter the title and author details accordingly. Optionally, you can add in a png called “icon.png”. This will be shown when you’re selecting your game in the Ren’py for Android main screen.
6 – Now start up Ren’py for Android and you’re ready to play!

NOTES:
- Games with keyboard functions wouldn’t work. Because Ren’Py for Android does NOT support keyboard fucntions yet.
- Games with video files will crash when trying to access them. Video is not supported as well. (Note : We can solve this problem with deleting all video files on visual novel)
- Loading some Ren’Py games will result in unexpected errors at times. If you’re familiar with Python scripting language though, you can try to fix them by yourself.
- Last but not least, REMEMBER to rename “TEST” with the name of the visual novel you’re transferring to your Android device.

On a side note; the Dreamcast emulator on Android only works with .gdi image files, take note when you translate the emulators part.

What you need:

1. Any Android tablet/smartphone (non-rooted is fine)

2. Daroon Player

3. A DVD Video-based visual novel

How to play:

1.Extract both “AUDIO_TS” and “VIDEO_TS” folders from your DVD. Place them inside one folder. You can name it anything.

2.Transfer that folder to your Android device.

3.Install Daroon Player from Android Market

4.Run Daroon Player and go to “DVD Folder”. It’ll detect whichever DVD Video you have in your Android Device.

4 – In the DosBox Manager menu,create a new profile

5 – Press and hold on that new profile, then click on “Edit Config”. Then in that menu, go to “DosBox Settings”.

6 – Then go to “Autoexec” menu and click on it.

7 – Replace the code with the code in installation guide that posted below (lihat dibawah game desciption yang di post dibawah)

8 – Adjust other settings according to your phone / tablet’s specs. Set Audio Freq Rate to 16000 Hz, any higher will cause the sfx to produce kracking sounds.

9 – Enjoy! Like I said before, this hack is pretty difficult to get it right the first time. Even I have problems writing this tutorial.

Three Sisters' Story

Last summer Eiichi appeared again on my doorstep, he said to me, "I found out who was responsible for our father's death: the current head of father's old company, Shoji Okamura."

When he asked me, "Will you help me avenge mother and father?" I agreed immediately.

So I became his hatchet man. My job was to approach the Okamura family, especially the three Okamura sisters -- sexy, grown-up Yuki, short-tempered but sensitive Emi and the innocent Risa -- and gather information on the Okamuras for my brother.

I was never sure if the information I was providing was doing any good, but gradually, it became apparent that Shoji Okamura's business was failing. My brother swore he wouldn't stop until Shoji Okamura was driven to the point of taking his own life, even if it meant pushing the Three Sisters into lives of prostitution and worse.

The only problem is, I had fallen in love with those same three sisters...

True Love's genre is considered to be a mixture of a dating sim and visual novel. The player controls a college student looking for his true love. The goal of the game is to win the girls' hearts before the last summer of freedom is over. Every day, when the main character wakes up, the player can plan the schedule for morning, afternoon, and evening. The choices (such as pleasure, sports, study, etc.) determine what events will occur during the day (if any), and also raise the character's skills in the selected category. Different girls in the game (there are ten of them) have different interests, goals, and preferences. If the character's skills in the category that the girl finds most important are high enough, he has a chance to become her boyfriend and the player is rewarded with erotic images of the girl.

Cobra Mission: Panic in Cobra City

Hi.

I figured a way to save using the normal function on Clannad Android.

You need the Original Clannad Visual Novel (No Voice - 2004), Voice patch + English Patch. Then you can save as normal and everything work as normal , don't have to use volume up and down button !

I just registered because I found the following:

 

 

For people that don't understand, that's freaking Windows ME running on an Android device with sound and graphics - natively.  No VNC or the like.

 

Why is that relevent?  Because many of the legendary VNs like Fate/stay night and Ever17 are actually compatible with Windows 98.  Considering that VNs are not exactly CPU heavy, I believe it would be very possible to run these VNs inside DosBox and therefore maybe even fullspeed on a faster Android device.

 

Unfortunately, I do not actually own an Android device currently, so I cannot actually test this out myself.  Hopefully there is at least one other person interested in trying this out and reporting back their results.

From what I can tell it currently simulates a laptop touchpad via the touch screen, so yes, tapping the screen would be the equivelant of left-click.

 

And regarding Ever17, in the VN's launcher options it even specifically lists a Pentium II / 400+ MHz Celeron under "Low", and from what I can tell that is or almost is within the performance range of running DosBox Turbo on a modern Android device.

I'd love to hear results back from you!  One of the largest reasons I don't actually own an Android device is because I've been holding out until I can run said Win98-compatible VNs at a good speed.  Unfortunately nobody seems to have thought of doing such a thing, so I can only extrapolate from other Win98-compatible games.

 

BTW, if you get Win98/WinME running on an Android device, consider running the "Topbench" benchmark; it's a modern-day CPU benchmark program that's compatible with DOS and therefore DosBox: http://dosbenchmark.wordpress.com/

 

 

EDIT: Forgot to say, the "Topbench" benchmark contains a list of scores for older real-life x86 CPUs that are used to compare your (in this case emulated) CPU's score to.  This is extremely useful in determining whether a game has low enough requirements to run in DosBox on your device or not.

Many older-ish VNs like Ever17 are completely portable, so all you should need to do is copy the program data from your PC (assuming it's already installed).

 

Also, regarding your CPU being "well within the requirements", remember, this is an emulator.  The device in the video uses a quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A9 and yet has trouble running "Age of Empires", a game with a minimum CPU requirement of 90 MHz.  Of course as we know nowadays, MHz isn't everything, so who knows?  Give it a whirl.

 

On another note, the video doesn't say this, but for WinImage I highly recommend ONLY running it inside of SandBoxie.  That way you can run the trial infinite amount of times as long as you don't ever run it outside of the sandbox and periodically nuke your sandbox from time to time.
