I need help. Broken text.

So.... I downloaded Cocoro@Function and encountered a problem. My setup seemingly does not work and I don't understand Japanese.

When I click on the "setup" button, this happens.

(I click on yes)

 

 

In the game file (I downloaded via image mount disc thing) there is a .exe called "AdvHD" already although I couldn't do the setup. So I tried clicking on it, but text shows broken and some weird window pops up couple lines in.

 

I am suffering simillar problem with the game Miagete Goran, Yozora no Hoshi o, but the text is broken in that one although the "setup" worked properly. So the text being broken in Cocoro@Function may not be related with the fact that the "setup" failed to work.

 

I have Japanese locale on, and have Japanese language downloaded on the computer. This didn't happen with my other VN's, but they were all translated into English, so maybe this is a font problem? Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

 

*EDIT - I use VNR but it's the same regardless of whether or not I use it.

the message error box is not telling you a whole lot just that the program failed  to star/run

the other error (those weird characters) you need to change your pc into japanese format not just the system locale
