Ok, i recently played an interactive novel from choice of games where one of your romance options is gay. While i now realize that it was meant for the choice of playing the same gender, it got me wondering about it. Are there any visual novels where you, being straight (preferably male), manage to woo a gay romance partner of the opposite/another gender?

I guess i was curious about how one would present the idea of pursuing a romantic relationship with someone of the opposite gender, knowing that they're only interested in those of their own gender. Would the author show it as a "i love you no matter what you are", "i guess gender doesn't mean much to me" or "i was a fool to stop dating the opposite sex" type of situation?

But i guess most developers will try to avoid tackling that kind of situation too seriously for fear of drawing the wrong kind of attention.

I wouldn't do it purposefully.. but that option came up in Mass Effect 3 with Garrus. I really didn't want to see that option at all, he's my best brofriend.
