Guimu Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Hi all! A friend and I are interested in translating Majikoi from english to spanish. Yes, I know the patch isn't still completed, but we really want to do it. But, unfortunately, we have a problem: we don't know how to hack! And if we can't have the scripts, we can't translate! Unless we use VNR. But we really like to see the text in the textbox, not somewhere else. So, I was wondering if anybody here knows about hacking or something like that. If we can't find anybody, we'll probably do it with VNR. Anyways, can the translated text of VNR be stored somewhere so we could use it for a patch later? Thanks for reading Quote
RusAnon Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Did you try contacting the group which works on english tl? Usually groups are willing to share tools. Quote
Guest Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 yea the text in VNR can be saved as an xml file, and stored for later when you port to your tools Quote
Mikel Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I can't hack or anything, but if you need help with the translation I might be able to help Quote
Guimu Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Thanks for your answers ^^ I'm trying to contact with the staff via IRC (it's the only way), but like a lot of mIRC channels, everybody is idlying :c Mikel, how could you help? Are you spanish? Or is it about the japanese parts? See ya! Quote
Mikel Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 I'm Spanish, so I wouldn't have a problem translating from English to Spanish. I could help with translation or proof-reading I guess Quote
atchikotchi Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 ^Same here, i am fluent in Spanish, i would gladly help if you guys need a TL. Quote
delapropia Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Same here, my native language is Spanish, and i´m very good with English( im still studying though, but im capable of many things ! ). If you guys need a TL or anything else, im right here dude, so please count with me. Quote
Guimu Posted June 23, 2013 Author Posted June 23, 2013 Where are you from, delapropia? Anyways, I'm trying to contact with the yandere tl staff to get the tools, since I don't like so much how VNR does work. I will contact you guys when the time comes :3 Quote
Majaraja Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Good luck and have fun, guys, I'm happy to see projects like this one. Quote
apau Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Hello. Guimu, I am the friend of your friend who decided to start this project, in other words, I'm the one who decided to start it in the very first place xD Sorry for being late and all. Seems like we need to know what the engine of Majikoi is before we can start translating it, also it wouldn't be a bad idea that we start to learn japanese, I mean, I, the friend of Guimu and another member that didn't post here yet are already starting to study japanese. I can already more or less translate from japanese to spanish but we need more people since the text that's in japanese is more than 50%, in other words like 40.000 lines or so and if i fail (whatever the reason is i can fail) we won't be able to resume the translation. Of course that we need also much people to translate from english to spanish because that's another 50% and, personally, thank you very much to all the dudes that had offered to translate from english to spanish, we also need you, don't worry for that despite that the first thing i'd said is that we need more people who know japanese xD Well, for those who had already offered contact me or Guimu via PM. Also, it would be a great thing if we could make a irc channel for talk between us. Another thing (and i think is the last lol), apart from translating (which is a great help itself) we need to tell about this project to more people, the more we are, the better. Greetings and thanks again to all who had offered. PS: Btw, i also have a native-speaker level of spanish so don't worry, although i still need someone to correct me because sometimes i don't structure very well the sentence haha EDIT: I found the engine that Majikoi uses! The game engine seems to be "NeXAS" (source: http://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=VN/Eroge_Scriptsizes) so we can try starting from there. Quote
Ippiokami Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Hi! Im the guy who showed Majikoi to Apau, and Im the one who told Guimu about this Translation project. Thanks to Guimu for search all the tools and for be in mIRC all the day :D/> Currently he is on vacations, I think he will be back Soon. So we'll be waiting till he come back to start translating :D/> (If we can find the tools) Quote
Guimu Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Long time no see guys! For your info, we just got the tools from Yandere TL team. Now we are trying to know how they work and we will start translating as soon as we can! Since there is controversy inside our TL team because some are from Spain and the others from Mexico and Urugay, we will release two versions with both spanish dialects to make everybody happy. Translators included. Ah, and apau will be working in the japanese stuff, so we may see Miyako route in spanish before english xD Quote
allpukmaster Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 im wonderin what tools you guys use because im lookin to translate miyako route to englsh the true route too if possible so please reply thanks Quote
Guest martoko Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 I too would be interested in those tools, as I only managed to extract the strings. Compiling the translated strings back in provided a few problems. I might release an English version of the Miyako route, only my translation will be for personal purposes and as such, will only be an improved version of machine translations. Quote
Sharin-Sub Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Hi there!
