Mikel Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Well, I started Princess Waltz recently, and a couple of hours into the game this pop-up window showed up: It says: Princess Waltz stopped working. The program stopped working due to a problem. Windows will close the program and will notify you if there's a solution. I've been trying everything I thought of. I uninstalled and installed again, and downloaded another version of the game, but it does the same every time I get to this point in the game. I hope someone can help me with this problem. Quote
Mephisto Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Strange, I never had any issues. Is your graphics card having issues, or are you using a really old PC? Are you running as administrator? Is your computer infected with malware? Is your anti-virus program preventing the game from running properly? Quote
Mikel Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 I don't think it's my graphic card, all the VNs I've played were in the same PC, and I never had any problem. I am running as administrator, my computer doesn't have malware, and my anti-virus program doesn't say anything Quote
p4izanagi Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 did you aleardy try to run in compability mode? Quote
Kendjin Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Does the game crash at the same point, after a certain amount of time or are we talking about it randomly crashing after a period of time? Quote
Luch Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Can you upload a save file from just before it crashes? Quote
REtransInternational Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 What to do when your princess stops waltzing... Have you tried setting compatibility mode to XP or 2000? Quote
Mikel Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 Here's my savedata file, just click a few times, it crashes when they start laughing together. Save File I already tried compatibility mode and it makes no difference. It always crashes at the same point, it doesn't matter if I've played 1 hour or 1 minute. Quote
Luch Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I couldn't get that error so for now I have no idea what could be causing the problem :< I made a save right after that spot so you can try that savefile and hope that it doesn't happen again. Quote
Mephisto Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 An audio file error perhaps? You may not be able to run the audio clip properly? Quote
Mikel Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 Man, with Luch's savefile I can't even load it, the moment I click load it crashes. And what would be the solution or how can I know if it's an audio error? Quote
