totopesce Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Well I kind of like those MMORPG animes, where the characters get stuck in the game world (like SAO, Log Horizon, Grimgar, HACK...) So I was thinking if there where any good VNs with that kind of theme? Any recommendations? Thanks Quote
OriginalRen Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 None that I can think of, but I definitely recommend anything that is a cross genre masterpiece. Quote
totopesce Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 If you have something to recommend please do, even if its not on topic xD, I was just thinking that it could be an interesting theme for a VN. Quote
Deep Blue Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Yep there is a vn that has some elements to it, sumire (it's not that difficult to read either) and there are a few more but I cant remember them right now hello world might interest you too, it's not what you are looking for exactly but im sure you will like it. there has to be a vn like that I just dont know it but maybe @Clephas do, he knows a lot more about this genre (virtual reality) https://vndb.org/v12872 this one is in english and it seems to be what you are looking for (havent read it) Quote
totopesce Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Thanks for the answer, I cant really read any japanese, and I might seem like asking too much but the art in Duael didnt really do it for me xD. Quote
DarkZedge Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Not really sure but like Blue said @Clephas might know of something that can fit your needs. Still I'll look around a bit Quote
Deep Blue Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 translated? yep there is nothing like that that I know of. Quote
Arcadeotic Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Not a thing on the translated side of things, and haven't played enough UnTLed VNs to tell you recommendations In Clephas we trust Quote
Decay Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 This doesn't fit your request exactly, but I/O does bear some similarities. Most notably, there's an MMO that some people practically live in. And it's translated! FontSize72LOL 1 Quote
Clephas Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Technically speaking, Baldr Sky (both Dive and Zero) take place partially within a completely virtual world, though it is deadly serious and not a game for the characters at all, lol (think direct neural implants links, brain death, and extreme escapism dystopian sci-fi). Sumire does count, as does Mirai Sekai no Planeta (I didn't really like it though). Harvest Overray is one with an extreme sort of augmented reality. Quote
Kawasumi Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I know you cant read japanese but 11eyes has an alternative dimension with fantasy monsters and shit. Quote
totopesce Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Thanks for the suggestions. Really liked 11 eyes and I/O. Quote
