Blanc Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I am new to visual novels overall, so I have been wondering is there a online store where I can buy physical copies of visual novels in English ? Call me weird but I would like to make my own collection or bookshelf with them etc... and having physical copies sounds better to me I guess I am a bit old fashioned lol. Quote
Fred the Barber Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 The VN subreddit has a good buying guide in general, https://www.reddit.com/r/visualnovels/wiki/buy, but for physical releases of English translations you're basically looking at two big sources: www.mangagamer.com www.jlist.com For the most part they'll only carry the products they licensed and localized, but there's some stuff on both sites which doesn't match that qualification, notably IMHHW physical editions on both sites, or Huniepop, also on both (obviously it's not a VN, but, well... it's Huniepop). J-List also distributes a fair number of MangaGamer releases, I think; not sure if the other way around happens often. I don't think any of Sekai Project's / Denpasoft's releases have had physical releases other than for crowdfunding rewards, but I could be wrong about that. Edit: Apparently rightstuf also sells them? But it looks like they don't have anything outside of what the others do, and sometimes at WTF prices ($43.99 for IMHHW, vs. $14.99 on MangaGamer... huh?), so probably avoid rightstuf. Quote
Arcadeotic Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 For translated and such there are Denpasoft, Mangagamer, JList, Itch.io Steam if you want some OELVNs For untranslated I use getchu Quote

AaronIsCrunchy Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Just as a little side note, there's particularly few visual novels which are obtainable in a physical format in English. I'm not sure what ones are available, but they're few and far between. Good luck Quote
kingdomcome Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Kickstarter is the way to get a lot of "newly" translated VN's. Quote
