Eien no Aselia Translation Context

Currently playing/reading through the JAST translation of Eien no Aselia; I'm just worried that I'm missing anything (plot/lore wise) that might have been lost with the scene removals from the game. Could someone help fill me in on aspects that the 18+ version provides that are important story wise?

The protagonist is raped by a spirit when he arrives in Phantasmagoria.  This sucks away Desire's mana and causes it to hunger for mana.  This is the underlying cause of Desire's relentless urges to plunder mana from other spirits.  In the adult version, the protagonist can succumb to these urges, leading to the evil route.
