NowItsAngeTime Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 While slice of lifes are my favorite genre, I generally like ones that are more relaxing/feel-good/healing based as opposed to comedy ones (though I'm not opposed to those either) The problem is I feel like I've watched a lot of the more popular ones already. Full MyAnimeList here: http://myanimelist.net/animelist/NowItsAngeTime?status=2&tag= But ones I've watched that I liked are: * ARIA * Hidamari Sketch * Ore Monogatari (had romance but still counted a lot) * Kouffuku/Gourmet Girl Graffiti * Yama no Susume * Binbou Shimai Monogatari * Hanayamata * Binchou-tan * Kiniro Mosaic * Kamichu! * Usagi Drop (read the manga) Ones I watched that I wasn't too into: * Sketchbook * Tamayura * Non Non Biyori Quote
Darbury Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I enjoyed Silver Spoon quite a bit. Don't think I saw that on your list. Asonn 1 Quote
Darklord Rooke Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 If you're not opposed to manga, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is probably one of the better ones going around. People sometimes compare it to Aria, but YKK's a little better, imo. DharmaFreedom 1 Quote
DharmaFreedom Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Hmm, check out Tamako market and yuyushiki. Also bonnouji for manga ohhh and Hanasaku Iroha, loved that one. Quote

Nosebleed Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I have to commend you for watching so many SOL shows, I really don't have much to offer but as a fellow SOL lover I hope these will be to your liking: A-channel Acchi Kocchi Hyakko Ichigo Mashimaro Minami-ke Servant x Service Tamako Market Wakaba*Girl Yuru Yuri Quote
Asonn Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I was actively seeking if you had watch some slice of life and after I found by Kiniro Mosaic: "Will un-drop if it gets dubbed" I gave up. Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge Flying Witch and I will be seconding some animes other people recommended : K-on! Acchi Kocchi Wakaba*Girl Yuru Yuri silver spoon Quote

Fate Prisma Illya's first 2 seasons (the only ones out now) also sound like they might be up your alley. It's SoL but also magical girl. Season 3 gets moar serious (not like, Fate Zero serious) but the tone changes a lot. The currently airing Sakamoto desu ga also gets a recommendation from me, despite being a little different, but I think it's really cool. Quote
ittaku Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 ^ Nisekoi was awesome But it's a romcom, not really a SOL show. Quote

It depends more on the setting than anything else. You are right though, Nisekoi isn't slice of life. I'd hate to think of living in a world where the yakuza was part of everyday life, lol. Not really sure what's generally considered feelgood, but I suppose if you don't mind some drama along the road, Toradora and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo are anime I would consider feelgood. If you'd rather watch something on the more positive end of the emotional spectrum, K-on and Acchi Kocchi are really solid anime too. I especially enjoyed Acchi Kocchi for how adorable Tsumiki and Io were. :3 Quote
