Can't install Rewrite

Hi everyone!

I was going to try out keys Rewrite since the anime recently came out and it was somewhat interesting.

So I DLed the game but when I try to run the autorun on disc 1 I get this error: Autorun error
and when I try to run the Setup file I get this one: Setup error

Are you running your computer with Japan system locale?: Yes
Your Operating System: Windows 10
64 or 32 bit: 64
What did you already try?: Redownload and run as admin, also made sure I had permissions to the folder were I have the isos.

Maybe the files themselves are corrupt? i never encountered that problem when installing rewrite myself.

I thougt so too, so the second time I downloaded it I downloaded it from a different place, but still exactly the same errors..

I'm going to try installing it on my win8.1 laptop as a test.

I also had a hard time getting Rewrite to work for me.

As it appears, some VNs don't seem to be very compatible with Windows 8.1 and up.

If they're .exe files, maybe you can try running it under compatibility mode (compatibility to Windows 7) ((you can google how :P). I think one of my VNs ran on Compatibility Mode lol. Good Luck!

No luck with any compatibility modes on my desktop, there were no problems installing it on my laptop though.

I would still like to get it running on my windows 10 machine though, I will keep trying whatever I might think could work.

Anyone out there at all who has this running on windows 10?

I played it on Windows 8. Don't remember any problems.

I have it currently on my Windows 10 laptop.
