Okami Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I notice that sometimes procent of translation progress on fuwanovel and vntls don't match. Like for exaple right now Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai on fuwanovel it says Translation Progress: 34% on vntls it says 9%, than Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! fuwanovel says 50% vntls 85%. So I want to ask why is that and which one is more correct? Quote
Sparkker Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 >> Well, They are based from different things>> I'm not sure what.> but as far as I can remember it goes somewhat like this.. Fuwan: Gets overall progress (I think) While VNTLS: Gets the progress of the current route the translators are doing.. (If I'm right) Quote
sanahtlig Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I'd assume VNTLS is more up to date, for one. It's TinFoil's baby after all, and I think he has automated tools for collecting some or all of the information. Quote
Eldin Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 i'm assuming they're going off of different things. fuwa seems to go off of translation progress. pure pure, for example since I was just looking at it, is 100% translated but only 77% edited. on the upcoming page it's showing 100%, not 77%. Quote
Guest Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 no it's not that, the VNTLS is based on dan88's someone's weekly progress update thread on /jp/. and then romme wrote a script for me to automatically scrap those values from vntls and apply them to fuwa's numbers. so fuwan's numbers are always 0 to 6 days behind. and plus sometimes ppl tip me off on latest progress, so i do manual updates as well.
