Already read steins gate and loved it :)

genre: im not too much into sci-fi/superherostuff/robotfighting and such.

I dnt have too much expirience with VN's, but length doesnt matter as long as it HEAVILY hooks me all the way through. :)

thanks

I quite sure Tokyo Babel would hook you in all the way through. Its pretty lengthy with themes such as death and the afterlife, religion and atheism. Of course there's also romance and determination in the face of great adversity. It has twists along the way and the story really kept me interested. It also has a surprising amount of really brilliant humor considering the heavy themes surrounding the Novel.

The protagonist is intelligent, proactive and believes himself to be an antihero. He also has NANOMACHINES!!!!:kosame: . Check out this review by Decay,

Maybe Fata Morgana? It's good from the start, its pacing is excellent, and good god those twists. The atmosphere is great, the story is engrossing, and I never found myself bored.

Apart from that, Saya no Uta also starts strong, has a good hook, and it keeps things moving along nicely. It's really short so if you haven't you should read it regardless.

Shikkoku no Sharnoth - It got me hooked the instant I watched the OP. Top 10 on my VN list.

Chaos;Head - You might consider picking this up since it's in the same series as Steins;Gate.

Eien no Aselia - Those plot twists, man.

Maybe Root Double, you'll get one story focusing on tense trapped-survival-mystery, another story focusing on casual high school slice-of-life, a grandish route picking up where the first two stories collide, and of course some plot twists thrown in there ^_^

both of them heavyly drag at the beginning.

Chaos;Head and R11 are definitely better paced.

I love both of those, but they hardly fit his request.

I recommend Cross Channel ~ Tower of Friendship ~  -  It's one I had trouble getting into the first time, but I gave it another shot later on and could not stop. It's great. Really amazing atmosphere.

As for twists...it is abit popular right now due to the Steam release, but I recommend Muv Luv. It won't grip you at the start unless you're really into the characters(which are good), but the twist that happens. Damn.

As for something that'll grip you and not let go and has a good twist? Saya no Uta is short and sweet...cannot recommend it enough.   Oh man, there's just so many. Alot of people here are already suggesting good ones.

Sekien no Inganock -What a Beautiful People- is also hard to stop playing once you start. It has an otherwordly atmosphere.  There's really just too many to thing of right now. I'll recommend "Swan Song" and let other people keep suggesting.
