Sciurus Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Hello, I'm a complete novice at using VNR, as I just started messing around with it. However, I seem to have messed up something. Whenever there is voiced dialogue, the translation shows up as "J" - just a single letter instead of any actual translation. Protagonist (non-voiced) dialogue and other text translates just fine. What could be the likely issue? Quote
mitchhamilton Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 not sure but i would suggest slowly checking every option you changed and changing them back one at a time, or go into the options you changed and see if theres a button to change everything back to its default. OR re-install vnr. Quote
Sciurus Posted July 31, 2016 Author Posted July 31, 2016 Thanks for the quick reply! I've only had VNR for a short time and I don't really know how to navigate it all that well, so I most likely screwed something up by fiddling with the options. Hoped that maybe there's a quick fix, but oh well. Took your advice and uninstalled. Deleting the registry fixed the issue. Had to completely re-set the preferences, but that's a small price to pay I guess Quote
Sciurus Posted August 1, 2016 Author Posted August 1, 2016 Since this is also a basic VNR-related question, I didn't see the need to make a new topic, so... Is there any way to "fix" the synchronous text for a more accurate machine translation while reading? For example, a word in the sentence reads 早、く instead of 早く because VNR decided to add a comma in the middle, causing the rest of the translation to become garbled. Is it possible to delete individual characters that are mistakenly added in the text? Quote
