FourZro Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Everytime I run the setup I get a not compatible message no matter what I do, and when I run as admin I get a "can't find the file" message. Anyone know wtf is going on? edit: Oops, meant to put "Luv" in the title >_> Quote
Luch Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Read this topic. Take a screenshot and/or copy the error here and tell us what your system is like. Quote
FourZro Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 I keep getting those messages tried changing compatibility and all that... I'm running Win7 64-bit.... But I think I found the problem. The file is set to read only but it won't let me change it....it says access is denied when I try to *sigh* man......I got the fuwa version so, maybe if I get a different version? Quote
Luch Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 It's supposed to be read-only as the file is on the disc image. Don't run the setup.exe at all. Just mount the extra disc and run the installer: "2) Run this Installer.exe". Quote
FourZro Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 I think that worked......but now I'm getting a message that says MFC42.DLL is designed not to run on windows or it contains an error.... So I'm guessing I just try re-installing? Man..........Alternative setup just fine, why is this giving me so much trouble.... Quote
FourZro Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 Gah, screw it. Got the version that was on TPB, worked fine..... Anyways, thanks for the help! Quote
MangAnimE Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 I think that worked......but now I'm getting a message that says MFC42.DLL is designed not to run on windows or it contains an error.... So I'm guessing I just try re-installing? Man..........Alternative setup just fine, why is this giving me so much trouble.... Had same error messages myself for both MFC42.DLL & msvcp60.dll, I think I've fixed those but now getting another error message that says "The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." Also, downloaded & installed "VISUAL C++ 2005 RUNTIMES ARE REQUIRED: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=32bc1bee-a3f9-4c13-9c99-220b62a191ee&displaylang=en" just in case (although already had them installed anyway). Have tried it on both Win XP 32bit & Win 7 64bit, setting both into Japanese & rebooting. Same DLL errors on both. Quote
REtransInternational Posted July 20, 2013 Posted July 20, 2013 That import is not present in older versions of msvcrt.dll. You can try downloading a newer version and putting it in the same directory as the program. Quote
