Looking for VNs with romance

The title may be a little ambiguous, considering that most VNs have romantic elements. I guess I'm trying to find something similar to ef - a fairy tale of the two. Not similar in the way it splits its VN into many different stories, but rather similar in the sense of how they portray their romances in each 'story'. I'm hoping to find something that doesn't revolve around one lone guy surrounded by a ton of girls who fall in love with him for no apparent reason. I'm looking for perhaps something a little more serious and melodramatic, but if you've got any good recommendations for romance you can just post them and I would check it out. Thanks a bunch. 

Ah right they need to be translated to English too.

Examples of romance VNs that didn't quite fit my taste: 

- Noble Works 

- Princess Evangile 

- Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort

The thing that comes to mind when I read the topic of this post is:

White Album 2, both Introductory Chapter and Closing Chapter

Amagami

And the infamous School Days (though a lot of people didn't like it)

Also, OreImo's game. (You may have to watch the anime first before playing this one)

Yeah, White Album 2 hasn't been fully translated yet.

Amagami is available both on PS2 and PSP. Isn't fully translated yet.

The OreImo game is only available on PSP. So far, only disc 1 has been translated. Disc 2 is still being fan-translated.

Did you try Koichoco, Supipara or To Heart 2 ??

I've tried Koichoco and I quite liked it. I'm kinda waiting for all of Supipara to be released before starting on it. 

I've never really tried To Heart 2 though. Think I would give it a go. Thanks.
