My indications:

Best Novel: Akeiro Kaikitan (runner-up: Island)

Surprise of the year: Floral Flowlove (runner-up: Yomegami)

Deception of the year: Tayutama 2 (runner-up: Baldr Heart)

"It's not Da Capo" Award: Dal Segno

"I'm not jerking to a loli train" Award: Maitetsu

"Best re-utilization of faces for 5 games in a row" Award: Sen no Hatou, Tsukisome no Kouki

Well, Karenai Sekai to Owaru Hana's the only thing I can vote for (haven't read anything else that came out this year). For what it's worth, It's been awesome so far.

It was an uninteresting year for me.

Tenshin Ranman was an ok read btw.

I don't usually read that many new releases as I just have too many old games to get through. At least read enough to make a top 5 list though

 

1) Nikuniku

A guro game that actually made me cry at the end. The true ending was fantastic, and it was overall just a really good read.

2) Tsui Yuri

Adorable little yuri game, with some pretty spicy bad ends. Overall, quite the enjoyable read. Also ended up becoming my first TL project, so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

3) Maitetsu

Loli porn simulator. Didn't even read the story / 10.

4) Kemomimi Harem Vacation

Although the game was just a fairly average harem nukige, Nazuna was such a great character. She made the game so much more enjoyable. (Such a shame the localizers butchered the living crap out of this game.)

5) Ryakudatsusha no Inen

The game was a bit all over the place, and I couldn't quite put my finger on whether this was meant to be a nukige or a serious game. Overall not the best, but it had some freaking stunning art and a few nice characters. Should have just gone full on guro nukige /10

1. Natsukuru - it looks like a moege but it's nothing like a moege, it has an interesting plot, great comedy and don't forgot lolis.
 

That is the only VN I finished this year. I tried 15 different VNs but all got dropped.

for myself i haven't read new stuff ,except fata morgana. was quite enjoyable from what i've seen bout it .

The House In Fata Morgana is easily my VN of the year. In fact, it's just about my favorite VN now. A wonderful story, perfectly developed characters, original and expressive art, best OST I have ever heard of in a VN. I literally have no complaints whatsoever about this game except the fact that it is in 4:3 (normal for a game that was originally released by a doujin circle in 2012, though). Will have to make up you gifting it to me sometime, Bats.

edit: Zero Time Dilemma gets my special, most-coveted "FUCKING FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING WORTHLESS PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT" award. I've been obsessed with Zero Escape for years. It's the series that got me into VNs and I've wanted nothing more than seeing a good Zero Escape 3 to top off the trilogy with a bang since the moment I finished Virtue's Last Reward (ZE2). What we got was shovelware-tier shit that raised more questions than it answered and what it did answer was only worse off for it. It was an insult to everything I loved about the series and VNs. It was an insult to the characters, it was an insult to the previous games, it was an insult to the fans whose outcry and undying support brought this game about in the first place. I can't even bring myself to be happy that it exists, because if our outcry and wishes to see Zero Escape 3 become a reality was going to end up with Zero Time Dilemma, then we would've been better off sucking it up and moving on. ZTD killed Zero Escape, what was until then by far my favorite story in any medium, and spat on its grave. Fuck you, Zero Time Dilemma. Fuck you.
