Hey Everybody! Today marks the beginning of my Fuwanovel-inspired Sims 3 story. As started in this thread, our story will feature three main characters:

Kendjin (name submitted by Kendjin) (very original, pal)

Rooke (name submitted by Tay in Rooke's honor)

Akrasia (name submitted by Shinobu)

Let's get started, shall we?

Step 1 - Creating a Household

The way this work is simple: I will generate the sims randomly (appearance, clothes, and personality). For each sim, I get three "re-dos" in case I think it'll turn out too wacky. Or in case I don't like something. This is all done by clicking a "randomize" button.

First character up: Kendjin

Last Name: Novel

All right, no matter how good the initial sim looks (Sims 3 gives you a random build when you start), I will perform an obligate initial randomize... So here's attempt #1:

He looks good, but not quite how I imagine Kendjin wants. I dunno. Heck -- let's try again. OFFICIALLY USING RE-DO #1:

Hey! Not bad. Hm. Not bad. Not gonna risk using up another of my re-dos on this. Plus, I kind of like the hair.

Oh. Oh, dear. Kendjin's already starting to dress like an old man. Hm. Just to be evil, I'm going to skip a re-do here.

... That leaves the question: do I even want to see swim wear?

...No, no I didn't. Alright, moving swiftly along.

Hm. Not bad. Looks kind of old man-ish (lots of that going on right now, it seems), but sharp. Plus, that means I still have all my re-dos later. Just in case.

Next question: how does he look in formals?

Hey! She's kinda pretty! It's a no-go on the clothes, though. Going to re-do just the clothes...

Eh, nevermind. Turns out you can't just re-do clothes, you have to randomize the whole sim. I think she's good enough to keep. (I think she matches... Ish? Do those colors work?)

Awesome! What a great group! As far as their inter-relationships, I'm going to make them all non-family. So that things are unbiased at the start.
