Hey,

I recently got rewrite running on my computer after a lot of effort, and everything seemed to be going smoothly.

In the middle of the common route, though, the game suddenly crashes, and I can't get around it no matter what I do.

It's the scene when all the characters are in Akane's (The Witch) room, and are playing the video on her laptop.

The sound suddenly mutes, the screen freezes up, and it just closes. I can't read the error message, it's just boxes.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, partitioned on a Macbook.

I'd appreciate any help in this situation.

Thanks,

Sonitus

Sorry, forgot to write this in the original post-it's 64 bit. I did get all the necessary drivers from Apple for the partition, and tried all the general recommendations to solve the error (reinstall, reboot, etc)

Does it crash at this point even if you save, turn off the machine and reload it up?

I know my macbook pro bootcamp has an issue with fancontrol in windows, which caused it to overheat.

The whole game kind of freezes and lags during the whole scene, especially when the voices are being played, and then it just crashes

Right after Kotarou asks to see the laptop so he can sample Yoshino's voice.

The very first lag starts when Yoshino screams "Screw you!!!"

The error message I get (I am now able to read it after downloading some fonts) says:

"vector<t> too long"

Do you think you can post the directory you have the game installed in. It might be too deep into a directory when it looks for sounds or videos or something.

It's the normal install path

C:\Program Files\Key\Rewrite

Kind of sounds like a corrupt line in a file, I think as long as you back up your saves, you could probably recheck the files in your torrent client.

Yes! Well I ended up re-torenting the entire file itself (this time from Fuwanovel instead of where I got it last time), and now its working! Well, I guess I should have tried that before posting (the 5 hour wait time was a bit of a turn off tho :>)
