AstralAir crashing problem

Hello, been dealing wit this issue all day with no resolution.

Game Name : AstralAir no Shiroki Towa (Same thing happens with Finale as well)
Description of Problem: When I hit "New Game" it'll turn black for a bit and then it'll crash with a "has stopped working" message.
Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I've set my Locale to Japanese. Set time format to Japan as well. Updated CCCP. Updated drivers/direct x. Reinstalled onto multiple drives including changing its destination (C:\Program Files(86x)\FAVORITE -> C:\FAVORITE etc)

I'm just at a loss for words at this point since I've never had issue with any other Visual Novel.

Any insight would be extremely appreciated.
