Text hooked is not in Japanese - VNR

Hi,

For the most part, VNR works fine. However, right now whenever the game is a kirikiri based game, the text hook becomes random numbers/symbols. 

Those games used to work fine but I suspect this could be due to my switch to Windows 10. I have already set the locale to Japanese.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to change the text encoding? The option is in this same window.

There are three settings that function for Japanese characters.  The default JIS and the two Unicode (the acronym starts with a U) settings.  Kirikiri is sometimes done in Unicode, so if you set the text encoding to that, it should solve the problem.
