Skeith Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Yeah, so, I've recently stumbled into the Tenchi Muyo anime (Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari) and I've been a bit confused as to what really happened before the Isekai no Seikishi series. So, if anyone could tell where I could d/l the whole set/series of Tenchi Muyo (from the start), I'd appreciate it! Also, if possible, 1080p versions? Teehee Somehow, wherever I search in BakaBT, there isn't the "Ryo Ohki" version? And I always can't seem to have more than 10kb/s when I try from Nyaa. Quote

Supah Kawaii Weeaboo Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 I like the Tenchi franchise, but it's a mess of similar but not-quite related continuities. There's an article and a chart which talk about the various TV series, movies, and manga spinoffs. Don't think about it too much, or you'll get a headache. Which version is best? That's debatable. The Tenchi Universe TV show has problems -- for instance, its version of Mihoshi is less competent than the OAV version. But I thought it had pretty good pacing and a decent ending. And if you want, you can follow it up by watching the Tenchi Muyo in Love and Tenchi Forever movies, which are not bad. Overall, I'd say the "Negishi continuity" (Universe/In Love/Forever) is more consistently good than the others. Quote
