(SOLVED) Soushuu Senshinkan Gakuen Hachimyoujin H-code

So, I bought the Masada Premium box a few weeks ago, and wanted to start by trying out Senshinkan, but... I can't hook it. Well, I can, but the text just comes out as gibberish. (I have my computer set to Japanese locale, yes.)

According to a few friends of mine, they could hook it just fine, so idk what the problem is tbh. I have tried 6 different versions of ITH/ ITHVNR. I also tried Chiitrans, but to no avail. I'm on Windows 10, and have tried running the game in compatibility mode, but also did nothing. (It made things worse, even, as then I didn't even get the gibberish when hooking.) 

There is a thread on VNDB with a "suggested fix", but that didn't really give enough info into the fix.

I can't find that specific setting in regedit, and playing around with regedit too much is rather scary, so...

 

Anyone have an H-code/ a more detailed guide for the regedit method?

Search for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\light\ with regedit
Look for Senshinkan folder there
Inside there is key called FontFace with weirdo name
Change that to ＭＳ ゴシック
