[suggestion] New 50 VNs to read before you die

Steins;Gate and Danganronpa are both on Kaguya's original list, I think this one was meant to supplement it, not replace it.

I have to disagree here, nukige != plotless.
And Euphoria is way, WAY less hardcore than Starless or any other really hardcore VN, but still, Euphoria is a good thing.

Starless is for people who embraced the fucked up-ness, Euphoria is a good door to this kind of extreme sheesh, but certainly not a Nukige. (Also agree that Plotless =\ nukige)

Just put "Science adventure series" so we don't have to discuss whether to put Chaos;Head\Child or Steins;Gate on the list.

The problem is...sci-ADV are kinda different between each other in term of tone, atmosphere and obviously themes, Steins;Gate/0 are different from Head/Child;

Just put one of these for sake of novelty, put Chaos;CHILD.

I was thinking of adding Valhalla and Everlasting Summer, but I didn't want without hearing the opinion of others.

It is nice too have OELVNs on the least, it adds to the variety of it and have a wider appeal.

Also, Ladykiller in a Bind. I personally hate it, but for reasons that have little to do with it being a damn good game. Bolder and better than Analogue, I'd say (both are from Christine Love)

Utawarerumono sequels (Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth) are also really worthwhile. Could be grouped together

Utawarerumono could be added, since we have yet to add an RPG VN Hybrid there.

Gonna add Valhalla since it has more than two recommendations and people seem to like it a lot.

Gonna put the substitution of MGiP on hold (want to hear other opinions first).

Added Uta and LadyKiller in a bind since it is from Christine love and Analogue is on the list (if you people want to add more, I'll make LK in a bind an honorable mention on the analogue section.)

EDIT: I worded it incorrectly, I meant that since Analogue was also recommend and LK is from the same person, it wouldn't hurt to add it.

Seriously now, just because something is in VNDB, it doesn't mean it's a VN. Anyone can add anything there, you know...? BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena and fucking Persona 4 Dancing All Night are there, and even some gatchas, like seriously, who pick those games for the VN parts???? And it's always a war on VNDB about the inclusion of those games... It'll just start an unnecessary war, leave it out. If you want a hybrid of sorts, I suggest Danganronpa V3.

I mainly dislike such lists due to how people's opinions differ so.

For instance, 'My Girlfriend is the President' is one of the comedy VNs I prefer. And not just for the comedy. It has some genuinely sweet moments in the routes themselves. One of my favourite CGs altogether is from this VN. And one of the characters here is one I've kept thinking about for years.

So... How am I supposed to know if others would like it or not? I'm not them.
But I do think 'general' opinion is the way to go. Such a list should have a variety of titles: 'comedy', 'feel-good moe-blobs', 'chuuni', 'action', 'philosophical', 'mystery', other genres I can't name at the moment, etc.

But yes. I vote for My Girlfriend is the President. Here's other stuff I also played that I also vote for:

• When They Cry Series (It's long, it's horror, and it changes genres later on)
• CLANNAD (It's emotional, it's long, and it has a fantastic true route that most should try. Its choice system is good for funzies, but terrible for getting into the routes you want)
• Cristine Love's games are all excellent in their own way, as interesting experiences and stories.
• Doki Doki Literature Club (This is sufficiently popular that I shouldn't need to elaborate. An experience)
• If My Heart Had Wings (Have some decency and remove the bias from the notes. Write something like: "All Ages only. Fan Restoration patch for missing and/or altered content available (SOON).")
• Wagahama High Spec (Haven't finished it, but I like what I've seen and seemingly there's some good sexy-times within as well)
• Lucid9 (Refer to my earlier comments)
• Kindred Spirits (One of the best Yuri titles I have ever played. And there's some stiff competition, such as Love Ribbon. The actual best is Highway Blossoms, though)
• Gakthun of the Golden Lightning (It's from a female perspective, it's poetic, and it invokes a lot of feelings. It also has a steampunk setting)
• Grisaia Series (Whether you're looking for Romance, Comedy, Dark Stories, or Action, Grisaia has it all)
• Science Adventure Series (I've only played Steins;Gate, though...)

I'd actually vote against Yoake Mae yori Ruri Iro na. It's just about one of the few VNs I can say I didn't like.

I'll come up with some recommendations of my own at some point.

Sorry for the IMHW one, it was supposed to be comical, but sounded really bad.
