Higurashi voice patches

[Hiashi]

I'm trying to play the Higurashi series from Steam (first time reading it) and have tried to apply the console port's voice patch from Github onto Onikakushi, but ended up with a black screen on startup. I'll probably need to delete the local folder and re-install the game to fix that.

 

I'm not very technically-inclined, so I would appreciate some help in properly applying the voice patches. I'm fine with the Steam sprites, but if anything else needs to be added to make the game run properly, some guidance would be helpful.

i dont have the game, so i cant really tell... however, the guide is here, did you follow the step carefully?
