Cursed Toilet Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Hello hello, I've already look through forum and didn't find anything in google either so I decided to make this topic. I've this common investigation problem. I've done everything as Satoshi Mochida discribed in thier instruction. When I start the game ppsspp crushes instantly. When i change it back to defeult FramebuffersToMem = "False" & FramebuffersCPUConvert = "False" game runs normally but I still cannot investigate anything :c Quote
Satoshi Mochida Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Did you download the specified PPSSPP version: V.0.8.1-642-g8f84907? The instructions are specifically meant for that version. This is a little bit strange since the game shouldn't crash when the Framebuffers are changed. Quote
Cursed Toilet Posted September 3, 2013 Author Posted September 3, 2013 Thanks for answaring! Yes, I'm sure it's V.0.8.1-642-g8f84907. I have even download it again but it still doesn't work. When I set FramebuffersCPUConvert on true and leaves FramebuffersToMem with false games runs normally but i still can't investigate. Guess it has something to do with my graphic card. Quote
Satoshi Mochida Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Well, you could try something else. On the PPSSPP forums are still other possible options to play the game. Download the most recent edition of PPSSPP and try out the following instructions: Quote by daxtsu: "If you had looked back one or two pages in this thread, you would've seen that the game doesn't work correctly in 8.1 official. Grab a development build and enable Read Framebuffer to Memory(CPU) if you have AMD/Intel/Android graphics cards/devices, or Read Framebuffer to Memory(GPU) if you have NVidia. Be prepared for a massive speed hit though; those options are both quite VPS/Speed intensive." Quote by solarmystic: "The newer revisions on the buildbot use a different ini setting called RenderingMode under the [Graphics] heading (it has been renamed) RenderingMode uses values of 0,1,2 and 3 0 = Non Buffered Rendering 1 = Buffered Rendering 2 = Read Framebuffers to Memory (CPU) 3 = Read Framebuffers to Memory (GPU) The equivalent setting is now to set that RenderingMode to 3 for your NVIDIA card in the ppsspp.ini file. This is the same as the older FramebufferstoMem = True ini setting which is no longer used in the latest revisions." If you're using a laptop, put the laptop on high performance mode. If neither options work then I'm afraid that your PC might not be able to handle the emulator and the game :X I'm not sure how old your PC/Laptop is, but my 3 year old laptoop was able to play the game without problems. Cursed Toilet Posted September 4, 2013 Author Posted September 4, 2013 I have tried both and still the same problem occurs, also a game boosting program I use to play other games doesn't make any difference :c My laptop has around 3 years and i don't think it's the issue since my friend with 5 y/o laptop (vista) can play Dangan Ronpa but on JPCSP (which doesn't work for me because it cannot find java). I've read through that one long topic about Dangan Ronpa problems on ppsspp forum. I've found other people with the same problem but no solution (they have been ingnored by other people in the thread lol). Anyway thanks for help! Quote

theonyxphoenix Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 The game was way too laggy for me on both PC and Android. However, the emulator was updated to 0.9.5 today with major improvements. I'll have to check and see if anything's changed. I've tried the newer 0.9.5-96gae27874 build on my Android and no matter which selection I choose (non-buffered, buffered, to CPU, or to GPU) I cannot get the X to confirm anything when using the crosshairs. I'm able to get it to work with v0.8.1-642-g8f84907. I'm working with that older build now to see about increasing the quality. I changed the CPU to 222 in the ppsspp.ini and set frameskip to 2 which makes it pretty playable. Quote
