Oh wow, never thought they'd bring out another season of Full Metal Panic 0.0

More like a retelling movie(s) of FMP from what I read.

Wow, there's a lot I want to watch this season, from Shokugeki no Souma to Persona 5 to 3D Kanojo. Definitely one of the better anime seasons in recent memory.

Try to guess which anime will have a frame-by-frame review of every single episode from myself.

Mahou Shoujo Ore? :Teeku:

I'll never understand why anime fans like to divide anime into yearly seasons.  Back in my day, we never did that.  We just watched what came out regardless of the seasons they came out in.

It's not really something anime fans came up with, it's what the anime industry and broadcasters do. They release new series within the winter/spring/summer/autumn cycles, with most of them being either 12 or 24 episode long (that is, lasting for a single season or two). I think it didn't matter in the past because we didn't have simulcasts (that is, an anime reaching the western audience was only vaguely related to when it came out in Japan).

Ah, that explains it.  I've only started watching anime back in 2009 when no one actually gave a damn about yearly anime seasons, so I'm pretty old school.  I've noticed this trend started to come about sometime around 2012-2013, roughly around the same time when anime streaming became a thing.  It's almost ritualistic in a way, because it allows anime fans to predict and anticipate which anime comes out in the following season.  My, have times have changed.

I don't really see anything new that seems interesting for this season. Everything interesting seems to be sequals, not that it is bad to have sequals of good series but it is always nice to have something new.

I'd say the opposite. I've had enough of new isekai, magic school, cute girls sol and so on that offer nothing. It's time to make some room for all the great series that desperately need sequels, continuation, and/or completion.

We do happen to have a magic school with cute..."girls"

And, technically, Legend of Galactic heroes can be classified as an isekai...the right kind of isekai.

WHAT? MORE DXD? MORE AMANCHU? MORE STEINS GATE? MORE WIXOSS????????????????????

I wish I still had I soul so I could give it to the devil again. The other animes seem great too, but I'll only read about them when more information comes.

Other than Amanchu!, this season is looking incredibly weak. There's barely anything I want to watch, and the things I do plan on watching aren't ones I'm all that excited for and am just picking them up because I lowered my standards to try watching more anime.

Will likely be watching:

Otakoi - like the manga
Caligura - the game seemed cool and I don't think I'll be playing the actual game anytime soon.
Tokyo Ghoul:re - assuming this continues off of the manga and not Root A
Captain Tsubasa - why are we even getting another captain tsubasa. Whatever. Still watching.
Houshin Engi - Another remake.

Boku no Hero and Tokyo Ghoul, noice.

Haha. At first they should make a remake for the first two Season for Tokyo Ghoul.

First Season was okay but the second? Shit Adaption. And now they are going straight to Re? Well, Anime-only watcher are going to be confused as hell. I personally would recommend to read the Manga.

It's all just edgy shock deaths, and torture porn anyways. If you don't enjoy that, it's definitely not for you. :P

Then just watch Europhia. :wahaha: If that is everything you need. :makina:

Furthermore can't you read? Did I say anything about not enjoying torture? It was about the adaption of the manga. And yes season two was shit. Only the ED and OST were great. A lot of plot and character Devlopment was skipped. Do you even read the Manga? Well, I don't think so. Root A is made of 100% Filler episodes, awesome or not?

Who want to enjoy something if the adaption wasn't good? A lot of people hate the Anime of Grisaia no Kajitsu, Umineko and Higurashi. Do you know why? Poor and bad Adaption of the VN.

If you really need your torture porn then watch Europhia, it's perfect for you but at first you should learn to understand a text.
