Strike105X Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) Hi, i hope this is the right section, i want to know if i can play visual novels on windows 10 tablets, something like this: www3.lenovo.com/us/en/tablets/windows-tablets/miix-series/-Miix-320/p/88IPMX30837 But without the keyboard attached (i want to play them comfy in my bed). 1P1A Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 You would experience the same compatibility issues any other windows 10 device would, if applicable. The specs for that specific device are fine for 95% of visual novels that are compatible with windows 10. Only recent releases, or heavy game-play VNs, have high requirements, e.g. Rance X/Chronobox require >=2GHz processors. My tablet is 2GB ram, 1.33GHz, and I've only had issues with recent releases. Jazid-Kun Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Nah, if that device with Microsoft Windows Operation system and Support EXE format. You can read almost all of Visual Novel Series. I think keyboard doesn't used much at COMMON Visual Novel, At least, keyboard used for input custom protagonist name (Some VN can (or needed) custom Protagonist name) and Of course that visual Novel not include some sub-genre or Extras Content like mini games or RPG, etc (ex : Sora o Aogite Kumo Takaku) You can't play that kind of VN without keyboard. You can check game details on VNDB. For example : Grisaia no kaijitsu, Wagamama High spec, CLANNAD. Strike105X 1 Quote
Jazid-Kun Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 And I think you wouldn't get any compatibility issues with that kind of Tablet Spec. Moreover, You seeking for less keyboard VN. generally that kind of game doesn't include as "Heavy-spec-Game" Quote
tahu157 Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 I read both Fate games on a tablet. It worked pretty well, but I gotta say navigating windows with only a tablet is a real pain. I'd consider using another computer to load your vns onto a micro-sd card, and then putting that card into the tablet just to make things easier. Strike105X 1 Quote
Strike105X Posted March 1, 2018 Author Posted March 1, 2018 Thank you, it was the clicks that where a concern and the slower storage. Gladto hear they would work fine :). Its about simple vn's without gameplay aspects honestly. Quote

Some VNs you have to double touch (double tap?) to advance a line of text, but it's not a big deal and you get used to it. Strike105X 1 Quote
Inorin Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) I've a tablet which only has 1 GB RAM and 1.33 GHZ processor speed, but able to run most visual novels like Subahibi, Grisaia and Fate Hollow Ataraxia just fine. The tablet in the link you provided is a beast compared to mine so you will have no trouble at all Edited March 1, 2018 by wei123 Strike105X 1 Quote
