Anime Boston Mangagamer Speculation and Announcements Thread

So Anime Boston is coming up in the next week or so and they apparently have a new partner and 2 new VNs from old partners to announce.

My speculation is the new partner is going to be some nukige company or a new moege/doujinge license and I'm hoping for good announcements for the other two.

Enough about my vague speculation. What do you guys think will be announced at this years Anime Boston?

no matter how you look at it it´s always cheap porn that´s getting announced, most probably nothing to get gung ho about, like stuff from ammolite eg. milking onii-chan´s strawberry dick, or tales of onahole  ... ah just fuck it. whoever truly believes it´s that time again where kamige come popping out right after another, nah it´s more than not.

I'm hoping another title from the rance series, hopefully the remake of rance III.

It's a small con, so it'll be just small indies and nukiges, with the slight potential of one bigger title.

Unfortunately we didn't get a year preview with some hints this time, so it's pretty much just random guessing.

Good choices overall, but this is Anime Boston and knowing their history at this con, the announcements aren't going to be nearly that awesome.

Probably Nukiges or some middle of the road pick, I doubt it'll be something to write home about but they could always surprise us.

 

I'll reserve judgement until I see what they are (though probably gonna be some nukiges and maybe another shitty rance game)

Trinoline would've been a cool announcement last year if it hadn't been spoiled 6 months beforehand. 

Either way, I agree with you on the predictions, although Rance games are too high profile for such a con, even if they are boring.

It is high profile which would help spice up the other two which are probably nukiges, so it could make sense for them to bring out something more to elevate it.

Release Dates on SukiSuki, BokuTen, and Hapymaher would be very nice...

Outside that I'm not waiting for any big thing in particular besides anything that seems interesting / well-liked

Asking for release dates as announcements. 

Seriously, they got such a bad reaction from making 4 announcements from Anime Central 2016 hard copy announcements that I doubt they'll ever announce anything besides localizations nowadays.

They'll most likely announce release dates on their Twitter whenever they're due to come out in a month.

I never saw the problem with release date announcements at cons but I guess online VN fans are very needy people.

People should rightfully expect licensing announcements at panels, especially when release dates are usually announced through Twitter.

Considering that I'm always wrong when it comes to predictions like this, I will for once go the opposite direction and say "nothing from Alicesoft". Now I'm either right (for once) or I will gain access to something good. It's a win-win.

Well, I dare to make one prediction and say that one announcement will be an ImoPara 2 hardcopy.

I'm pretty sure it'll get one sooner or later, and small cons are usually a good opportunity for MG to announce hardcopies.

I still don't think they'll be doing hardcopy announcements again, especially after the reaction they got in 2016.

Maybe another Moonstone title. Seems like Moonstone titles are selling really well for them and that Moonstone seems to want to get as many titles as possible out in english. Would probably be something like a nukige though since it is a smal con, maybe something like Demon Busters. I am probably completely wrong.

And yet, they still won't localize their most interesting VN, Sakura no Mori.

It seems like they are doing the localizations in roughly the same order that they released in in Japan, just with the exeption of Houkago ☆ Eroge Bu! which they seem to have skipped. If they follow this they will probably release Sakura no Mori after Love Sweets, Demon Busters, Natsu no Iro no Nostalgia and Ojou-sama to Himitsu no Otome. Maybe they skip some of the titles in between but I think atleast some will be localized before Sakura no Mori.
