Yeah I know that and I am pleased with AMD and always had. I agree with every point you say. But it is hard when somethnig is wrong but you don't know what. I hate dismantling my computer to find that little problem. 

There are always gonna be problems, no matter the hardware. 

 

On the topic of AMD vs Nvidia, I really hope AMD survives Maxwell.

I wouldn't say that AMD is hotter than Nvidia in general. The high-end cards of both manufactures would benefit from a secondary fan.

amd gets much hotter that is why i dont like them, nvidia you can overclock quite a bit. Well not that i have seen a need for it yet.

Nvidia also has PhysX full-on support, which is like in every game now. Then again it doesn't matter much whether or not you enable it.

You can trick your PC into thinking it's Nvidia, and thus enable PhysX, though.

I have never played around with Nvidia GPU's, but PhysX worked fine. It was a little boring, though, so I didn't bother with it after a few hours. Not worth the extra power on a mid-range GPU.

I´ll also buy a PC soon -ish. Currently I am planning to have something like this:

 

I7 -4770K

Asus Maximus VI Formula

2x Gtx 780 ti in SLI

 

But I´m not sure what kind of RAM yet. As for Storage I´ll probably get one small SSD for the OS and one larger WD HDD.

depends on the game in mirrors edge it adds quite a bit of immersion but i agree with it not being worth the extra power on a mid range gpu

75% of all performance issues with Mirror's Edge can be resolved by turning off PhysX. That should give you an idea of the software's functionality.

I'm aware of that. I just think they're going a bit crazy about it. I mean, WHO are they to be declaring international emergency? It hasn't even infected that many countries.
