We've got a wonderful expression for your kind of people here in portugal. I think there's also one in english though. I'll give someone else the pleasure of enlightening us.

"Idolizing" is the wrong word. I simply respect Tiago because we've already had a miniature debate somewhere around here already, and he responded well to whatever the joke was. The only person I've interacted with on here thus far that didn't respond well to a joke I've made is you, and I was almost certain that wouldn't be the case. In a way I'm disappointed in the infamous Ourai

If you ever take offense at something I say, let me know, and I'll stop saying it.

But tell me, if I ever acted like you were an idiot, and did so in a non-joking way, would you not feel the least bit insulted? And even if you wouldn't, could you not agree that the average person would, if it came from a total stranger?

It's not very average to call yourself unobjectionable, you know.

And it looks like you idolize him. You practically squealed when he called you "eloquent," and you started singing his praise even though he did something quite unremarkable. Hell, I'm surprised you didn't pitch your voice and screamed "SUGOI-DESU, TIAGO-SAMAAAAAAAA!!"

So you've never written that you "said" something on a forum? It's essentially the same situation, but the fact that you looked it up simply to try getting a petty victory over a technicality is cool I guess, not really though

Don't blame the poor soul. Isn't it only natural to want to idolize me?

I would argue it is fine as it is:
"verb
verb: slander; 3rd person present: slanders; past tense: slandered; past participle:slandered; gerund or present participle: slandering
  1. 1.
make false and damaging statements about (someone)."

Statement
"noun

  1. a definite or clear expression of something in speech or writing."
