Cross Channel Black Screen

Whenever I open the cc-eng.exe file, I always get a window with a black screen. Sound seems to be working fine, but the opening video won't play. I tried running it on Japanese locale, running it as administrator, running it on Windows 7 compatibility mode (I'm using Windows 10) but nothing seems to work. I would appreciate it if someone could help me

which patch did you use? I think you need to first apply the 2009 patch (amaterasu), and after that 2013 one (george henry) using the python scripts as guided in readme. I used those, and it was fully playable (this was on windows 7 or wine, can't remember which one)

I'll just try to re-download it since I just got a copy from a friend. Weirdly enough, whatever patch he applied, it works perfectly for him :/
