atchikotchi Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 The official Little Busters! website updated that a anime adaption of the adult visual novel LB! Ex has been green-lighted!: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-09-16/little-busters-ex-anime-green-lit what do you guys think? could it possibly be like a "alternate timeline" with the new heroines in EX? (like the clannad ova's) actually pretty exited for it Quote
Silvachief Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 At the rate things are going this new season will come out before EX is actually translated XD Still looking forward to it though! Quote
solidbatman Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 JC sure wants that money. Which is good. I generally like JC Staff stuff, so the more, the better. Quote
Damonkala Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Hold on a minute, isn't Refrain (Season 2) premiering next month? Also Ex's visual novel hasn't even been translated yet, but I understand because there are routes in Ex that weren't in the original. Still right now I'm just waiting for Season 2 and Ex to be translated, and anything more would be even better. Quote
Nosebleed Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Uhm.. Not sure what to think. I have the EX version of LB! and i already have played the 3 extra routes (untraslated). I think it's a pretty reasonable idea to introduce these final characters as they each have their own individual value (the biggest character introduced being Saya) What i think it will be is something that'll focus on those 3 characters' story (Sasami, Kanata and Saya) and present them as side stories since their routes (especially Saya's) occur simultaniously with the common route (in the VN) so i think a side story format for the series would work well enough. However on MAL it is listed as a sequel to Refrain which does not happen in the novel so i honestly do not know how they plan on adapting it. Either way i'm really looking forward to it! Great news to know they won't be leaving out Saya. Quote
Lord Zero Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Im gonna watch it for sure. But im guessing that its going to be a Clannad After Story - Ovas kind of deal. Like a special season for the Ex exclusive heroine routes. Totally worth watching though, Quote

shcboomer Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I heard that the EX routes would be included with Refrain... No one is sure yet, waiting for an official JC Staff announcement. Regardless, we should be subbing both regardless of when it is scheduled to air. Quote

Regardless, we should be subbing both regardless of when it is scheduled to air. I don't think they'll include the EX routes in refrain, it would make very little to no sense. All they're doing now is Kurugaya's route for some reason and then i guess they'll go from that to the refrain chapter. I'm thinking that EX will be more of a side story rather than a sequel, but i can be wrong. Quote
Redgrave Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Well, at least i got to see Kanata's Route animated although it might not be good as the VN. Quote

It was because Kurugaya`s route spoiled the true ending being way too similar to "secret of the world" that Kyousuke likes to preach about. I guess that while Riki felt that something was off all the time, the pieces didnt quite fell into place until he noticed how his own situation mirrors Kurugaya`s. Quote

(like the clannad ova's) actually pretty exited for it I'll be honest, the idea of them making another anime, the second one based off the porn adaption of the first, has me really confused. I'm sure they're just going to touch on all the new heroine's routes though. Maybe add a long-awaited yuri scene between two certain heroines? Quote

Yeah that's my only idea as well, i think they'll use Kurugaya to introduce the viewers to the "secret of the world" since Riki's already suspicious that something's wrong and he felt like the conversation he had happened before. I'd like to keep this forum spoiler free though so let's not discuss too much into this or at least use spoiler tags (I've already completed the VN but there's others who haven't). Quote

Spoiler tags will be then. Seems like we were absolutely right. Chapter 3 wraps things up and ch4 walks right into proper Refrain. Man, i want to meet the director and hug him or something. This anime its such an amazing adaptation that rivals Clannad quality. In some ways i think that it actually surpased it. Mmm, couldnt we get his twitter or something ? God damn, im pumped up !! Forythos Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I'm just taking a guess here, but I'm expecting the EX episodes to be OVA for the BDs for something like that. Kinda like the Kyou and Tomoyo special episodes for Clannad. Quote

Kinda like the Kyou and Tomoyo special episodes for Clannad. Since my guess is that they are gonna be special chapters... your hunch may prove to be correct. Edit: I just checked and its going to be just like that. http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00FPHNFD2/ 4 Chapters for Saya. Kanata, Sasami get 2 chapters each. Quote
