Issue with touchscreen playing Sakura Sakura

Most of the VNs i played in the past 3-4 years were all on my Surface and i usually use the touch screen to advance the dialogue and stuff, it seems to be completely disabled for Sakura Sakura, anyone got any idea why? Never faced this before

Does the text advance for clicks if you plug a mouse in?

Yeah mouse works normally, its just touchscreen seems to be disabled in the program completely 

 

Touch screen works fine outside the game window
