Unfortunately it doesn't really mean much to me, it's one side of a paulownia (tree) or something like that. The only thing I can say about this name is that it just happens to be the name of a heroine in Nukitashi as well.

If you really want to try to force a meaning on this name:
「片」 meaning "fragment" and 「桐」 referring to a foxglove tree.
The foxglove tree's leaves are heart-shaped. 
Thus, you could think of the name meaning "a fragment of (one's) heart".

This is just one possible interpretation and could be totally bullshit.
