I just read that Sony will be reveling the entire console and games for PS5 June 11th, 2020 at 9pm (BST)! I thought I'd spread the news so everyone that's the PlayStation fan can get their snacks and popcorn ready for this amazing event. You'll be able to watch the livestream through YouTube and maybe Twitch (I'm not to sure lol). The future is happening!

I hope it's backwards compatible with PS4 games. I read somewhere it only supports like 100 games. That would suck tbh.

I think they said “vast majority” of titles would be eligible in some article but we honestly won’t get a clear answer until it’s in our living rooms.

I’m actually surprised they are doing any backwards compatibility, it’s something that people would want but just seems less useful from a business standpoint. PlayStation is notorious for supporting old software servers (ie I can still play MW2 on my ps3 online). Backwards compatibility would make sense for like the later ps5 slim, but at launch?

It would be cool tho. xbone keeps BC with xbox360. Otherwise I see no point in buying a ps5 at launch, given its high price.
