vibrantblade Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Thanks to a wonderful friend, I am playing Xenosaga I.Played only an hour of it so far but after finals and Command and Conquer series replay, I shall play a lot more of it. Quote
Rabbit Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 GTA V, Town of salem, Garry's mod, pretty much anything out of my 100s of games that I feel like playin or that my friends are playing. ^^ Quote
Adsterhappy Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I play Space Station 13. Wait...am I the only one? Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Currently playing Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker's new story and liking it so far. It's interesting to meet up with the characters again and the premise is interesting. Â On a side note, before the voice acting did anyone else besides me read Saiduq as.... well...? Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I played some PixelJunk Shooter with my little brother. I just randomly picked it from my countless humble bundle games because it had co-op, but it's actually pretty fun game. The puzzle and shooting elements are simple but solid, and it's great for playing around. Most of the fun came from trying to use the environment to kill each other in order to snatch all the collectibles. Â I don't consider myself very good older brother, but from time to time it's nice to play with him because he's always super exited about it. When he's old enough I'm definitely going to corrupt him with visual novels. LiquidShu 1 Quote
Funyarinpa Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Started Super Mario World's GBA port on my phone  Spin Jump is AMAZING  Also  I've been looking at the listings for a GBA SP on Ebay, found a refurbished AGS-101(brighter screen) in Pearl Blue for $110 cargo included, and a flashcart seems to be around $30-$35, with free shipping on Aliexpress.  Tıme to hope! monkeysrumble Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Found out that one of my favorite games of all time Knights of the Old Republic got a restoration patch made. The changes made have been pretty good so far.   I've been looking at the listings for a GBA SP on Ebay, found a refurbished AGS-101(brighter screen) in Pearl Blue for $110 cargo included  I feel like you could get an SP for much cheaper then this. monkeysrumble Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 WHAT. I need this, now.  Just going to put this here then.  http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/495-kotor-1-restoration/ Quote
Decay Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 There is also the KOTOR2 restoration mod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-sith-lords-restored-content-mod-tslrcm This one is more important because KOTOR1 was more or less a complete game and the cut content was cut for a reason. KOTOR2 was gutted and released unfinished, and this excellent mod basically restores it to how it should have been.  ----------  I've been playing Final Fantasy 13 lately. I don't know why, I just have been. It's not good. Don't make my mistake, don't play Final Fantasy 13. Quote
Kosakyun Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Too late, Decay. Â I already bought it. I have XIII-2 but not XIII. RIP money into shreds. I've heard that it's even worse than the first one. Quote
Decay Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I watched an LP of 13-2. It looks worse in some ways, better in others, maybe mostly worse, but that was my own impression from watching. The opinions I hear from others seem to fall into both camps. Apparently 13-3 is a single character quasi-action game? It's like they gave up on 13's battle system completely by that point. Quote
Getsuya Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Too late, Decay. Â I already bought it. I have XIII-2 but not XIII. RIP money into shreds. I've heard that it's even worse than the first one. Actually 13-2 was much more fun and had a more interesting plot than the first one. I enjoyed it way more than 13. But... the ending is so bad it will retroactively make you hate every minute you spent playing the game. After seeing the ending I swore off Final Fantasies for a few years and hated even to hear the name Square Enix. I gave 13-2 away to a friend who was interested and wouldn't take his money for it because giving that game away is like punching the poor guy in the gut only he won't feel it til he sees that AWFUL FREAKING ENDING. Â 13-3 is interesting if you want to play Lightning dress-up, but unfortunately while the lively and interesting characters were kind of one of the charm points of 13 and 13-2, 13-3 does this weird thing where no one acts like they should and everyone seems to only have one personality trait that gets pounded over and over. About all it has going for it is the interesting costume system. Everything else 13-3 does feels either like a step backward or the kind of needlessly complicated BS Compile Heart would think up to artificially extend the length of their games. Quote
Kosakyun Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 the kind of needlessly complicated BS Compile Heart would think up to artificially extend the length of their games. Â Ugh. T-That hurts. Â Anyway, that's it, I guess. I might pick up XIII if I see it, but only if it's below $25. Quote
Decay Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 If you want to play dress-up with your Final Fantasy waifus, play FFX-2, a much better game than anything in the XIII series. Quote

In many ways I enjoy KOTOR 2 more then KOTOR 1. Quote
Fred the Barber Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Ooh, ooh, Final Fantasy XIII discussion? Â The original was fine, for me, until I tried to be completionist with it (at the point where side quests become available, 95% of the way through the game...). If you go in for that angle, it quickly becomes horrifyingly not fun and grindy. Â FF XIII-2 was too confusing, both gameplay-wise and story-wise, and I didn't like only having two people in my party. I was unable to bond with any characters outside of the main two in this game. Moderate spoiler: Also, the ending is just as bad as Getsuya says. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I feel like you could get an SP for much cheaper then this. That was the best mint AGS 101 I could find (it is refurbished) in a colour I like that would ship to me Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Finally Record Breaker Time.  Tico-Tico's voice could not be more perfect. Quote
TexasDice Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Today I woke up, grabbed my DS and played Monster Hunter for 10 Hours before realizing it. I don't even remember what happend in those 10 hours, but my armor looks different.  Are there other active Monster Hunter people on Fuwa? If there are, I would actually bother managing a thread.  If not, get out and buy the game, ya bums. Quote

TexasDice Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Everytime I play Fallout 3, I farm the two Enclave Soldiers outside of Dukov's apartment and the one that can randomy spawn between Megaton and Super Duper Mart. Afterwards, I trade all the power armors and laser rifles for more 5.56 ammo and Stimpacks than I can logically carry. Â Good times. Quote
TexasDice Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 My Endgame Equipment of choice is Fisto! and the Xuanlong Assault Rifle. It's actually a lot of fun to use all the Unique Weapons, because they're either nicely placed or aquirred through neat Quests. Victory Rifle, Blackhawk, Ranger Armor and my favorite: The tribal power armor (those 100 ingots tho). I think that I prefered that over New Vegas, because unique Weapons suck so hard in that game.  Don't forget to get good Questmods. Quo Vagis, Devoured in Darkness and Sydney Follower. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 ...lol, i don' know what kind of weapons you got, but you clearly didn't searched for the good unique weapons in new vegas. Quote
TexasDice Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 The normal variants with mods (like, the ingame mods, not mod-mods) are better. Quote
