BookwormOtaku Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Played a little bit more of the story for Senran Kagura 2 but mainly focused on playing the Yoma Lair to do some level and character affection grinding...and it's actually been really fun trying out pairs, finding out who works best with who and seeing what team attacks they have. I admit the almost useless lock on is a bit annoying still but it's pretty much negated when you're fighting with a partner since more often than not their presence keeps the enemy busy so you can get in a good amount of attacks. BookwormOtaku Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Okay, cleared the first chapter of Senran Kagura 2 and as far as I'm concerned that should have been the prologue as it feels like a good continuation of the first game from Homura and co.'s perspective with good call backs to their story, you're better introduced to the game's mechanics (especially the pair fighting) and the way it ends feels like the right setup for the main story. The boss run for that chapter was challenging but unlike in the prologue it never felt unfair. All in all this chapter has redeemed the game for me now moving on to the next chapter... Quote
Funyarinpa Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 I was playing Amnesia TDD in preparation for SOMA's lauch tomorrow, and I've got to say that this game is engaging. I haven't seen enemies etc yet though. Plays beautifully, opening doors/drawers etc is effing immersive. Quote
HotTrax Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Past the mission 31 of Metal Gear, man some of those missions were pretty tough.  _ I'm installing the Rainbow Six Siege Technical Test, I'll give that a shot since it started today. Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Dungeon Travelers 2 demo showed up in PSN, and so I gave it try.  Based on the demo, the dungeon crawling and combat seems really solid and the party members turned out to be pretty entertaining as well. I love all the banter, fan-service and cute girls doing cute stuff that happens here and there. It gives nice breaks from the dungeon crawling and makes the game more enjoyable overall.  I was going to get the DT2 anyways, but now I want it so bad. I can't wait for the European release. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Played SOMA for a couple hours, not all that great so far sadly. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 downloaded DOOM, pretty fun. Bought System Shock, decided to stall Dark Souls and OOT3D for the time being. Focusing on SOMA at nights and Cartagra in the daytime. Quote
HotTrax Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Rainbow Six is surprisingly fun and tense. Got a few matches in and won them all. Also new controller!! I need that elite controller as well. Quote
Jade Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Playing Civilization V with Community Balance Patch. Good god so many new things and new feature @_@ Quote
Funyarinpa Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I fucking love System Shock. Played it once, with Mouselook. Currently replaying it with Combat:1, Plot/Cyber/Puzzle: 3. (you can determine these difficulty levels separately). I have forgotten too much of the game to be able to finish it at all, but I want to see where I get in 7 hours. Playing with the original controls and they're actually very fun to use. It's available on GOG now and comes with the Classic version (DOSBox, no resolution options, no mouselook) and the Enhanced Edition (which has more resolution options, toggle-able mouselook, native Windows .exe). There is a. cfg file you can use in the directory of the Enhanced Edition you can use to determine if you want to use the original, revised (with Mouselook) or left-handed controls. The important thing is to pick original controls in the said file because having toggle-able Mouselook completely screws up the non-mouselook control scheme (you can't look up or down unless you click a specific part in the HUD and trust me you do not want that, pick original controls instead and you've got key bindings for that). I got used to it quick and man this game is so much fun. Great revision of the game. Quote
Suzu Fanatic Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 Got sucked back into Terraria (PC), using the semi-buggy Nterraria mod. Â So far I'm trying to build a massive city in the sky. :3 Quote
nohman Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 My friend talked me into buying Dungeon Travelers 2 yesterday and I've found myself pleasantly surprised. Dungeon Crawling games are usually marginally fun / a complete miss for me, but I'm finding myself enjoying it a lot more than I expected. Only 2 dungeons into it so far, so I haven't got a chance to mess with the class system yet. I've heard some good things about it though so I'm looking forward to it. Quote
kyrt Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 I'm playing XCOM (and doing the recruit fuwanovel members thing) and also playing Witcher 3 (still). Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I'm not playing anything and this is the reason why, not because I'm lazy or have a tendency to throw my money at games. Â http://www.pcgamer.com/the-pile-of-shame-an-unconquerable-mountain/ Quote
Thunderbro Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I'm not playing anything and this is the reason why, not because I'm lazy or have a tendency to throw my money at games.  http://www.pcgamer.com/the-pile-of-shame-an-unconquerable-mountain/  I'm definitely feeling the effects of this. My backlog is huge, for both pc and console games. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 the one good-ish effect of having to cut down on my gaming time is that I've forcibly removed 30+ hour game and VNs from my backlog, leaving me with fundamentally far less stuff to play. Â edit: I think that Soul Sacrifice will be the sole exception so far. Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Persona 4 Dancing All Night Disco Fever Edition tomorrow!(^∇^)Would anyone be interested in me posting pics/vids of the unboxing? I tend to do that and just save them for keepsakes anyways. Quote
FruitsPunchSamurai Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 True ended P4 Golden. Got nearly every trophy, now i just have to get the Persona Compendium filled out and the dumb Rise trophy. I've also been wondering but should i get Persona Q or just skip it? I for sure am getting P4 dancing all night though, i love rhythm games  LiquidShu 1 Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 After reading Xblaze: Code Embryo I got a sudden urge to play Blazblue, so I've been playing around in Calamity Trigger. I'm really bad at it, but I've been having fun. Obviously the gameplay is really good and I'm really digging the vastly different characters. The story mode was also as interesting as I hoped. There's just enough serious stuff and comedy to balance each other out, and I can't help myself but to be drawn into the convoluted time-loop plot.  I'm super hyped for the rumored PC release of Chronophantasma Extended. Maybe with that I'll finally start learning to play fighting games properly. Quote
Justin579 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Nothing. I get bored of anything i do extraordinarily fast. Just waiting for BF2 and Halo. Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Got my copy of Persona 4 Dancing All Night Disco Fever Ediiton! (≧∇≦)  Absolutely loving the game so far. I am so hyped that it might give me a fever. The fact that the opening was fucking amazing doesn't help either.  Going for the platinum, wish me a beary good time. Quote
HotTrax Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Booted up Destiny after so long, shot some stuff, and got to level 14. Shooting is still alright. Also still on MGSV and still have not finished it. Lastly, a bit of a upcoming game. I don't think I have been that giddy to hold the controller and play the game since say around last December/January. Quote
jetpack003 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Playing Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness because I want to re-live the nostalgia of this epic adventure game. Quote
Thunderbro Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Playing Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness because I want to re-live the nostalgia of this epic adventure game. That is still my favorite game in the Pokemon series. I'm not sure how many times I've replayed it.    On another note I finished my playthroughs of both Atelier Shallie and Hyperdevotion Noire. Both games final bosses were really easy, granted I was only on normal difficulty for both games. The couple of bosses I fought before the final boss were actually harder though on Shallie. Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Assassin's Creed Rogue, enjoying destroying the French fleet and killing assassins.  Oh wait... Quote
