Eclipsed Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 The nostalgia is strong, the new pokemon are fun, and I can't wait to battle online. I haven't played Pokemon since Silver / Gold But holy hell, reading you say 'battle online' just made me remember how back then we had to use those gameboy link cables to battle / trade w. other people. My, how the times have progressed LiquidShu 1 Quote
Canicheslayer Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Finished The World Ends With You. Great game. Finished The World Ends With You. Great game. TWEWY is a cursed game for me...I Started it muliple time (on Nintendo DS, on Ipad). Each time I like it a lot. However, inevitably, I forgot this game because another one has overshadowed everything else (last time it was The Witcher 3 AND Steins;Gate on PSVITA) Quote

Got halfway through the DS version a couple of times, but my interest always wandered to something new and shiny. It wasn't until the iPad version that I managed to push my way through to the end. I get it might have been amazing in its time but I didn't find it ageless, it just isn't my kinda shitAs for what I'm actually playing, I'm not dedicated to anything right now. Considering starting Planescape: Torment on PC though. Played a little bit of it before, wasn't too hooked, but with all the godlike excerpts I'm seeing of dialogue I'll probably give it a go again real soon.Besides that, I'm saving money for the Spain trip I'll be having at the end of the month anyways. I'm planning on buying some books (Battle Royale's manga spinoff and retranslation, maybe some other stuff like House Of Leaves as well. Looking into "flipback" books) as well as possibly some games (considering Persona 4 Golden even though what I've watched of it isn't exciting). There's also the fact that I use US PSN and the Black Friday sale will be occurring when I'm in Spain, during which I'm planning to pick up Danganronpa Another Episode or Samurai Warriors 4 if any go on sale. If they don't, I'll probably try to find some used games store to buy Ghost Trick and/or Chrono Trigger for the DS (CT, again, is something I'll be trying out because of the hype- emulated an hour of it, the story didn't grip me and nor did the gameplay) or I'll probably buy Corpse Party, Velocity 2X, or something else with good gameplay or story. Because P4G is just that good. If you like JRPGs and visual novels, it's pretty much a no-brainer.It's slow to start, but once it gets going, you're hooked. LiquidShu 1 Quote

Kurisu-Chan Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I don't like JRPGs in terms of gameplay I would tell you that it's more of a dungeon crawler with social links than a J-RPG. Also, you should totally play Persona 3, it's extremely cool, and has that dark tone. Canicheslayer 1 Quote
monkeysrumble Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Borrowed the Jak and Daxter collection from my brother and am currently playing through the Precursor Legacy. It's been maybe almost 10 years since I've done a playthrough of this game and it's probably one the best open world platformers out there. Quote
BladeRunner Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Put a little over a day into Dragon's Crown and have moved onto hard difficulty with the Sorceress. I could see myself sinking hundreds of hours into this game with the loot system and five other characters to play as.Also been making my way through Muramasa Rebirth as well. The large amount of backtracking can get annoying, but overall I'm enjoying the game. The gameplay is really fast paced which makes boss fights a lot of fun.I will now be purchasing every Vanillaware game as soon as it comes out. LiquidShu 1 Quote

Eclipsed Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Pokemon and COD still, though I am heavily debating on playing Kingdom Hearts.Do it! I'm horrible at solving puzzles.OoT was fun. Played it 10 years ago, beat it 10 years ago.Played it on 3DS last week, beat it last week. You shouldn't need a walkthrough! The only thing that made me spend 30 minutes longer than usual this time around was the Water Temple, that place is confusing as fk. Quote
Decay Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I beat OoT the year it came out. It was an amazing game for me at the time. I remember me and my brother playing chunks of it together. For some reason the part I remember the most was when a bird flew into our house and was chilling out in our christmas tree, while I was trying to corral chickens in Kakariko Village.Wow what the fuck, that was 17 years ago? Anyways, I think I'm going to give Fallout 4 a spin sometime soon. I don't have particularly high hopes for it, to be honest. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Started Planescape: Torment. The game's practically flying up the dark fantasy ranks for me(and I'm not even out of the mortuary yet). Probably the only (dark or not) fantasy lore that isn't surpassed by this is Soul Sacrifice for me. Also, gotta love Morte. Edited November 14, 2015 by Funyarinpa Decay 1 Quote
Decay Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Planescape Torment is a true classic. Many people have jokingly called it a visual novel due to the sheer amount of text within it. And the fact that the actual RPG gameplay is kind of subpar. Just pretend that it's a '90s version of modern telltale-style adventure games, or something like that. It's fantasy, but it's not stupid typical western high fantasy. It's a low-concept, heavily character-driven story that goes into some pretty deep philosophical themes (well, deep for video games). The fantasy aspects are merely a vessel used to delve into topics that are harder to do in a real world setting. Edited November 14, 2015 by Decay Quote
Josephl64 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I actually beat 100% OJ, pretty content with myself. True it was just Marc's campaign, but I have been stuck on that forever. Quote
Funyarinpa Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Holy fuck Planescape Torment, the choices man! I got the disguised zombie some needle and thread, and I got into an actual disguise (which I promptly ruined by trying to unequip my weapon to blend in better). It's amazing, how there are so many ways to go about this- and this whole place is merely the intro area. I don't care that it's slow paced, I don't care that the gameplay is repetitive (right click, choose axe icon, click, click again, loot, click container/place to go, rinse and repeat), this game might be one of my favourites. monkeysrumble Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 99% through Jak and Daxter. I could get a platinum trophy but I'm feeling way too lazy to collect all the precursor orbs. I'll see if I feel like doing it later. Will decide what I want to play next in the mean time. Quote
Shimo Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 WWE2K14 has the best character creator I've ever seen. Even after almost year it doesn't get boring. Quote

monkeysrumble Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I think I'm going to start to get the platinum trophy in some of my games. I've been looking through my list and I noticed I can actually get a lot of these trophies but I've just been too lazy to get them. Going to get all the orbs in Jak and Daxter, get the few remaining trophies in Assassains Creed II, play this walking dead game I have on my account because apparently it's like an auto platinum. If I do a playthrough on Kingdom Hearts 1.5 on easy mode I could get all the trophies (after grinding my proud mode profile to level 100), I apparently already have all the hard trophies to get in Project Diva F 2nd and if I actually sit down and try I could also probably platinum Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax.Better get to it, hope I don't get bored.
