NowItsAngeTime Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) Don't mind the degenerate preview pic, this video will mostly have IRL me talking since it's hard to show consistent visuals with a topic like this. Edited December 5, 2020 by NowItsAngeTime rimvydasm and Dergonu 2 Quote
Stormwolf Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) While it is weird seeing your face while you're talking about sex, i do agree with some of your points. The thing for me is that if you read certain romance based visual novels, they might not really have much "romance" outside their sex scenes. Just very close friend like, but in the actual sex scene they keep talking about how they love each other etc. Well, thats the only time outside very plot focused sex scene where i see them as necessary and i'd not read a censored vn instead. I'll use "A sky full of stars" as an example. Hikari for example did not have much romance in her route. Her ending was certainly very nice, but not the route itself. It was focusing too hard on the 3 friends over romance of protag and Hikari. Saya's route however was much better. She had romance in her route and you could feel they were a blooming couple. So to conclude: If a regular VN fails to show romance in the route itself and only pack the sweet words in the h-scenes, then the h-scenes are important. Otherwise not so much. I wish more just went the path YU-NO remake did. Show a little and tell just enough, but no gory details. I honestly dont know why it has to be extreme or nothing. I hate it when text in H-scene gets too... technical. If I'm reading a H-scene in romance VN, I want to see some lovemaking, not anatomy lesson (and often, an incorrect/physically impossible to boot ) Edited December 7, 2020 by adamstan Quote
Stormwolf Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Haha, yeah thats the worst. When they use scientific names for something and not language we mortals use to describe this stuff Quote

Also, I'm not a fan of HCGs that focus mainly on genital area taking up almost the whole screen. Edited December 7, 2020 by adamstan Quote
