Do I need to play Kira Kira before Deardrops?

I was on Vndb looking for a vn to play and I saw these two, it said they shared characters so I was wondering they actually are related to each other. I also found out that there is a crossover between these 2 so now that actually does make me wonder do I have to play one before the other?

Doesn't matter, while they do have shared characters that's as far as they go, the content and stories are not related.
