PPSSPP - Dangan Ronpa - Class Trial

Hello,

 

I have been playing Dangan Ronpa on PPSSPP so far without the slightest problems (except the common one where your crosshair doesn't react to objects, which I was able to fix easily enough, using the FAQ). However, I am now at the first class trial and I am having troubles with firing my ammunition. I choose the right statement and the right ammunition (most of whom are selected for you in the beginning) and press triangle to fire, yet it doesn't react most of the time. I know that I need to present when the crosshair becomes slightly bigger, but when I try doing that, the ammunition is deflected like when you present something at a non-highlighted statement.

 

I have been able to do a few nonstop-debates, but this error just won't go away. Sometimes, I need to present the ammunition up to 30 times in order to get a reaction and move on with the story. Now that I am slightly farer in the trial even that doesn't seem to work anymore. I am presenting and presenting, but it gets deflected the entire time, I am truly at my wit's end.

 

Also, I am very sorry, if this question has already been asked before. I searched the forum as well as the net for solutions, but I can't seem to find anything.

A deflection is not a glitch or error in the game. It just means one of the following:

1) Are you 100% sure that you are picking the correct ammunition and Statements? You are either shooting the wrong ammuntion or you are shooting on the incorrect statement.

2) Your aim is off. I'm not sure which difficulty setting you are playing but you really have to shoot almost perfectly on the yellow statements. If you hit partially a white statement, the ammunition will deflect of the statement. Also, if a purple statement is blocking the yellow statement, you have to remove the purple statement first otherwhise, it will also get deflected.

3) It could also be that your screen calibration is off? It could be that even though you're thinking that you shot right in the middle, but due to some kind of unknown screen misalignment, you were actually shooting slightly left of where you actually was aiming. However, I don't think that this could be a real problem since the statements are usually several words long.

Thank you so very much! I didn't realize that I had to shoot at the yellow part of the statement. It works perfectly fine now that I tried that. Maybe I was able to advance to this point at all because I hit the yellow part accidently. I feel really stupid now, so sorry if I asked a dumb question.
