"Hello, World." garbled text issue

Hey, I'm having trouble with "Hello, World." where random latin characters appear in the text and as a result, it is virtually unreadable. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the issue and if they know how to fix it. See below as an example.

 

The game launches with no issues and I have the locale set correctly, so I don't know what it could be. Below is what my files look like after installing from the disc version of the game.

I'm not sure what is causing the issue but what OS are you using to run the game? normally you cant make it work under 10, also the .exe of the game and basically all the other files dont match the ones i have but I use the dvd, maybe that's why?
